I had a splurge moment today. I had gotten a snack size ice cream cup from McDonald's. It was the only really bad thing I had today. I did do my workouts today to try to lose what I ate in the ice cream. I'm sore, but I am glad I gotten those done out of the way today. I also rode the spin bike today too. Man, if only I could get myself to riding that thing daily on a routine schedule. Happy Easter weekend everyone! Remember not to go overboard on the diet, and have fun!
316.2 lb Lost so far: 31.6 lb.    Still to go: 156.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Morganstuart — there are no BAD foods. There are just food choices that if eaten routinely are not conducive to accomplishing your goals. You ate a small sized ice cream, you enjoyed it so go home and take a long walk. When foods are NOT FORBIDDEN you can teach yourself to be a little more thoughtful about your choices—- how bad do I really want this right now? Ice cream now or a piece of aunt mable’s cherry pie on Easter.

Ice cream is only bad for you if you are diabetic. But to focus on the scale -- hooray!!!! Keep up the great work!

Oh Morgan. Ice cream is my downfall!! I used to love it sooo much and McDonald’s ice cream was just perfect- not to to sweet! It took a long time, but I honestly can go without it now. Someday you will be where you can pass it up. As wonderful as it is, I have to think of ice cream of being so high in calories I can trade it in for a lot more other satisfying foods. You are almost at that 2 line and it was all your efforts!! 👍👏👏👏👏 Happy Easter!😊

Make popsicles. I have several dozen molds of all sizes and shapes. I even make them with yogurt that I mix fruit into. So good and hits the spot . Psychologically you are having a great tasting treat. A favorite amongst the young people in my world is strawberry kiwi. Hundreds of recipes on the internet.

Diabetics can have ice cream — portion controlled and just once in a while just like the rest of us. They have to build that into their daily caloric allotment and their overall carb intake, just like the rest of us..
