morganstuart's Journal, 01 April 2021

I had been learning new things along the way. I had been trying to cut some of my carbs out though and I had been trying to go for healthier options instead. It's been tough. Making the right healthy decisions has been a whirlwind. I don't know about anyone else whose struggling with food addiction on the FS app, but with the encouragement I get from everyone has been helpful. Thanks FS family!

Have a fantastic April Fools’ Day Morgan! You’ve got to pull something on somebody.😄 One of my best friends is a food addict and I know how very very hard it is, but you can do it! She conquers many hard problems at her desk, but she tries to get out of walking anywhere to get paperwork and such. She often uses other people to fetch her stuff. I truly believe if she would just walk two rooms away to the main printer and back several times an hour she’d be so much better off, she would feel healthier for sure. Anyway, I love her and I know how hard it is for her. I truly believe it’s just getting into a habit, which is hard to establish. Good luck with your journey and I’m rooting for you Morgan, for your trying and my friend is not. You just have to form a habit and you can do it!! Just being on this site means you mean business! Have a wonderful day and you can do it!👍

I know what you mean Morgan. I think about food all the time, it's consuming sometimes. What helped me was planning my meals out, I need to get back to that habit.

The 1st month is the hardest if you can hang in there. I'll pray for you and your journey. You can do this!

I agree. I think of food all day long, just trying to plan, log, workout etc becomes a full-time job!

The hardest part for me is to get rid of sugar (chocolate, biscuits, candy). Addiction to sugar is terrible 😭

You have this! I think that sharing with people who have goals alike is so important. We all want to be healthy. I agree that foods can be addictive! Appetite is very had yo control. I am a spiritual person and that is the part that I really have had to get divine help for! All the best!

No forgiveness required. You did not commit a sin, you just ate off plan, you weren’t hiding in a closet. Just continue on like any other day. You can do it.

Let me congratulate you for taking the first step and register on this site. Count your calories and you will learn how/how much to eat or not to eat. Make adjustments, deduct foods that aren't helping you out in any way, shape, nor form concerning your health/well-being. Drink lots of h2o....at least 12 cups 8 oz. each or more. Drink 16 oz in the morning, either before or after you've eaten or 8 oz. before eating and 8 oz. after eating. And, do the same for lunch and dinner. Eat giant salads with a palm-size full of protein on it/in it. Add nuts: sunflower seeds, walnuts, almonds, pecans, use real juice from a squeezed lemon instead of dressings. Eat grapefruit, pineapple, oranges. Or, you can do like my first-born was 400 lb. nephew that is going to be 52 in August. He now weighs 320 lbs. He went on a liquid diet. Everything liquid: Bone-marrow soup, and just about any soups broth only and smoothies. He's been on this diet for 3 months. I just stay away from fried-foods, sugar, salt, unnecessary items that I feel won't benefit my health nor well-being. Good Journey 2U. May God bless us all on our specific journeys...Amen O:-)

I'm in agreements with what has already been said. Just keep it moving, knowing that what you do is for you. You will be ok. Let's do this thing. You got it.
