Day 5 of a planned 6 days of ‘no solid food’ fasting
Blood sugar 101 mg/dL

Normally I would break my ‘no solid food’ fast tonight, but, I decided to go an extra day of fasting this week, so, I planned to break my fast on Saturday night.

But, my wife, @PrincessValerie will be out of town, and I am on my own until Saturday night. Since she won’t be around to 📺 watch TV and 🍴 eat with, I might as well fast until she comes home, so I will fast until Sunday morning.

However, on Sunday, we plan to get a big bucket of 🍗 Kentucky Fried Chicken (original recipe - no sides!) and work on it all day on Sunday :) If I don’t ‘let lose’ at least one day a week, it makes it REALLY hard ‘mentally’ to fast during the week.

Back on the diet for me on Monday...

That's great, I too do much better when my husband is not at home on the weekends👍💃, even though I miss him haha

@liv001 - Thanks :) If I didn't have the Kentucky Fried Chicken on Sunday to look forward to, I couldn't do it. I was looking at the macros deciding what I was going to eat, and my problem will not be the carbs, they wont be higher than 60, but the protein! Each chicken breast has 40 grams of protein! I plan to have at least 3, plus some other pieces so I will probably end up with 200+grams of protein :( That is as much as I have consumed all week (sigh) But, this-is-still-gonna-happen :)

Man! That kfc sounds so good! Why not eat leg, thigh, and wings instead? That way you get a lot less protein

@CrashtestDawnie - Yes, I considered simply-eating-less-chicken! :) After much reflection, I know that I want to "Feel Full". And, I want to "Feel Full All-Day-Long" :) When I am fasting during the week, I don't get an opportunity to have the 'Full' feeling. So, that is what it is really about (sigh)

You definitely have worked for that full feeling! You don’t think the fattier pieces when make you feel full?

@CrashtestDawnie - Yes, the fattier pieces will make me feel full... for about 30 minutes... then I will want to eat again. Once the 'beast' in me gets 'unleased' the urge to binge gets 'uncontrollable' (sigh). So, limiting myself to 'only chicken' will hopefully 'limit the damage'. This "Chicken Day' is just another 'experiment'. It could 'blow up' into a disaster...

Lol! The potential disaster is only 1 single day! You will be able to bounce back. 💪 You had an extra day of fasting this week too. I think that should help.

Adef, you are the master when it comes to experimenting. Sometimes after reading about what you are doing and why, I think I should try to experiment to figure out if I should change stuff around, but I get lazy and scared about gaining again. It's kind of dumb in my case, because I know if I gain (which is where I am now anyway) I can lose again, if I really try. That makes me more lazy than scared. 🙃
