Day 6 of a planned 6 days of ‘no solid food’ fasting
Blood sugar 95 mg/dL

Went for 🏃🏾‍♂️ a run and 🚶🏾‍♂️ walked 10k steps yesterday. No loss, but, I can see my abs better when I look in the mirror…

Today I plan to ‘no solid food’ fast until tomorrow. I also plan to, for the first time ever in my life, to do a 🏃🏾‍♂️🏃🏾‍♂️ 10 mile run!

Tomorrow I plan to have an EPIC Kentucky Fried Chicken feast all day long (however, ‘chicken only' – no sides!).

If I didn't have the Kentucky Fried Chicken feast on Sunday to look forward to, I couldn't 'mentally' fast 6 days in a row...

However, I was looking at the macros deciding what pieces of chicken I was going to eat, and my problem will not be the carbs, they won’t be higher than 60, but the protein! Each chicken breast has 40 grams of protein! I plan to have at least 3, plus some other pieces so I will probably end up with 200+grams of protein :(

Yes, I considered simply-eating-less-chicken! :) After much reflection, I know that I want to "Feel Full". And, I want to "Feel Full All-Day-Long" :) When I am fasting during the week, I don't get an opportunity to have the 'Full' feeling. So, that is what it is really about…

Then, back on the Diet Monday morning…

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

@Keilin_4, @liv001 - Thanks for the support! I still have one more day to try to hit my goal of 164lbs. That goal was for "Saturday morning" (and I missed that), but, the last time I was 164lbs was wayyy back in August!

I am so looking forward to your KFC chicken feast! I really am. I think you'll be fine with the protein. The macros have to balance out as far as ratio goes. What macro ratio would you be comfortable with?

@Becc@ - Thanks! - - This week I have had my best one week results in 7 months and my average has been: Fat (79%) / Protein (15%) / Carbohydrate (6%). So, my "Chicken Feast" wont-come-close to matching that Haha!

@Becca@ - I just looked up the Keto recommendation at: https://ketodietapp.com/Blog/page/KetoDiet-Buddy and see it is: Fat (60-75%) / Protein (15-30%) / Carbohydrate (5-10%) so I have just been 'doing Keto properly' for the first time ever Haha!

Didn't do the 10 miles run, but, I did 7 miles and that is 10k :) Got on the scale and it said 162lbs. For me that is 'unofficial' because I only count my weight in the morning. Tomorrow morning, let's see what it says...

Good luck with your morning numbers.

Nice job on the BS numbers, Adef!

@Miraculum - Thanks! However, what I have generally seen with my BS numbers is that they go 'up' when I have not had a lot of carbs. This seemed really odd to me until I realized that my high protein was being converted to glucose and spiking my numbers (before my protein shakes I would be in the 70-80 range). - - This is why I have been reducing my protein intake. - - What I am NOT doing is 200+ carbs a day! This always spikes me into dangerous levels-for-days. Ever had temporary blindness after going on a amusement park ride in a 'carbed up state'? It-is-not-fun :(
