keto girl: my CGM experiment has been interesting. I tried konjac flour and made my own sherataki noodles. they didn't move my glucose at all. but maybe they caused the gain. I had them again today but I added more protein. we'll see what happens when I weigh in tomorrow. it's time for me to drop.. hey scale, did you hear that! So, now that I'm on thyroid my blood sugar is way low! I read an article that low thyroid can cause high glucose..My fasting morning bs is about 98 and 6 hours after I wake it's down to 70 the last two days. I had one meal and it's now
at 91. I won't need to eat the rest of the day hopefully. so, tomorrow, no kongac noodles, and I will mostly have meat. 🍗😂

I see some people I follow dropping weight eating way more than me. it is so frustrating. I almost never cheat too! When I increase my calories I gain.

so, keep on keto my friends. I'll report back in a few days.

173.0 lb Lost so far: 57.0 lb.    Still to go: 58.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Since the moodles are a fiber they may cause a swelling in your intestines that will obviously flush out naturally.

I have made a Chocalate mouse out of the powder, unsweetened Chocalate, and stevia. Very filling and almost no calories and carbs..

Liv001 that's what I'm thinking. I don't usually eat them. It was part of my CGM blood glucose test. I am trying to add a few foods I don't usually try. In a few days no test almond flour. The konjac flour definitely moved my bs by about 10. I'll only use it in future for treats.

Thank you so much for this post. I ,too, have to remind myself...it is not a race. I am at the point --where I am stalled (at weight loss) and flux a couple lbs everyday for months now. Then, I consider the alternative. That very thought for me ...is a NSV/*Non Scale Victories"!!! Considering where I started 19 mos ago. To think of anything other than the # on scale--- Its a NSV!!! NSVs are where I go now...when the Scale lies to me with its single hard fact! I come here and I list NSV . Thank you again. great post!

I can totally see the low thyroid high blood sugar connection. My thyroid levels are low, but, not low enough to receive any treatment :( So, I just have to keep the carbs low...

adefwebserver you should be treated! YOU Just need the right doctor! go look at stopthethyroidmadness so many people with low thyroid are not being treated, it is criminal! I bet you would respond extremely well! My thyroid didn't show very low and no doc would treat me till Doc berry. He treated symptoms and slight low after we tried other things

judyrose thank YOU! You reminded me to appreciate the NSV. Today, i wore a pair of jeans for the first time in a few years. A friend gave them to me about 3 months ago and they did not fit. today i need a belt .

@jenjabba - Naaa remember I am usually only 5 pounds above my BMI for the past 5 months. I am 'up' right now ONLY because I carbed out like crazy this weekend! My 'solution' is simple and working (low carbs). If I DID NOT have a 'solution' I would be willing to take something, but, low carb does work for me. I 'complain' on my Journal only because, well, "I complain a lot" Haha!

Adefwebserver you are awesome, and yup it's working. One cheat day sets me back 2 months. Your doing great

Draglist, yup. I've been working with my doc on getting the hormone replacement (radical hysterectomy 3 years ago) and thyroid right. I can't sleep if I go below 1200. I'm average 1300 daily right now. But I know if I drop to strict 900 I will lose but with my crazy job I can't think at those calories. I also take 2 good walks as day.

I also fast from 3 or 4 pm to 10 or 11 am. That's my dinner time.

Have you upped the calories for a week then maintained for a week? That’s what I did and my weight leveled off then dropped again when I went back down to 1200. Just a thought. I realize we are all different with different diets and needs so it might not work for you.

Peeperjj good suggestion. Yup, I've done it many times. I think it's my hormones. I'll figure it out sooner pre later. Thanks
