Day 4 of a planned 5 day โ€˜no solid foodโ€™ fast
Blood sugar 96 mg/dL

Finally lost some weight ๐Ÿ˜Š

My โ€˜patternโ€™ lately is to hang onto water the first 2-3 days of the โ€˜no solid foodโ€™ fast and then drop water rapidly. I hope to drop another two pounds tomorrow. My new goal weight is 165lbs because I found a new BMI calculator that puts my BMI weight at 165.1 well, I โ€˜roundโ€™ my numbers so 165lbs it is!

@PrincessValerie and I go to the Gym three times a week, and I havenโ€™t missed a week since we started in August. Today, I expect I will have to reduce the weight I lift from 180lbs to 160lbs. The only thing that has a problem with this is my โ€˜Egoโ€™. It will get over itโ€ฆ

glad you got your weight loss and are dealing with less of the weight (mind wise) when you don't carb. got to figure in the long run it is better to get to your goal and get that over with.

@baskington - This week is going to be hard because now I 'brought the goal line closer' and my weight is already low enough that I 'have a chance to make my goal' this week, it will be disappointing to come in on Saturday at say 166lbs when my goal is 165lbs! We have a dinner at the Cheese Cake Factory planned for Saturday night... there is NO way for me to lose weight then.... ;) So I will just have to try again next week.

Great program and results...if you don't hit that # this week, it will be the next or the next. Then it's on to maintenance...

That's good news. Team M&V is doing great.๐Ÿ˜Š Maybe if you check their menu online and pre-plan your meal you might have an easier time with eating out. That way you don't even have to look at the menu while at the restaurant and be tempted. Just a thought.

@Becc@ - I am going to take your advise, because no matter what I eat I have to log it, and it is better to do it before I eat, so I can decide if I REALY want to 'take the hit' for something...

@nikeit - Thanks1 I know BMI weight is a 'flawed number' but, psychologically it makes me feel like "It's ok to stop here".

That's how the cells trigger. They fill up with water to replace excreted fat until they are satisfied and then the flush. When you don't eat or drink again, those same cells refill to cling to whatever they can as long as they can.

@chrisw77 - Today I plan to consume 90 carbs in Orange Juice to assist with my weight lifting. It will be interesting to see how that affects the 'Whoosh Effect'.

That's all I've been doing - 2x 8oz glasses of V8 Fusion juice gets me through all mine. There's no fat, so it's just a straight sugar shot and will burn right away, so your lifts won't suffer.

The woosh is just your fat cells releasing water when you take in lots of water and your overall hydration returns ๐Ÿค˜

Just be sure to drink the OJ only about 30 minutes before you walk into the gym so it has time to kick in and doesn't dissipate too quickly.

@chrisw77 - Yeah... that important piece was a little late, I already had a glass of OJ in the morning and the afternoon! :) But, I also had one right before my workout and was able to maintain my lifts so it was all good :)

Awesome! You are almost there! OMAD should be enjoyable for you. Just make sure you ate close to bed time so you donโ€™t eat more than you plan. Also donโ€™t let your ego take a hit! Even at 160 you are basically lifting your own body weight!! That is crazy impressive!!
