Yesterday I really blew it...binged on pizza that a certain husband ordered when I told myself I'd only have one slice. Well, one turned into three...I know why I did it (besides the fact it tastes delicious)...A whole lot of I'm not dumping any of my issues on anyone here just caught up with me...and that's okay because I'm owning it. It'll happen again...and that'll be okay too...as long as it doesn't become what it used to be. As long as I keep getting back up and improving myself and my habits little by little then I know there will come a time when I don't feel the need to wrap myself in the comfort blanket that is food.

I did the same thing last week, for the same reasons, and then felt the same way about it. However I am jealous because you 'only' had 3 slices :) This week things have been better because I have been able to stop long enough to stop and say 'you are not hungry, you want to eat to control the way you feel though food'.

pizza here and there wont kill you. I like to use my food when i cheat. Try weight training before a meal like this. Then when you eat it you can rest assured that your body will utilize it. :D

This isn't a race. It's a marathon... I say this to myself ALL the time. I too have been binging lately and more so than I should be. An occassional binge is fine and in fact, I suggest it! Just VERY rarely. Keep pushing. Keep moving. You got the right mindset!

Pizza is a weakness of mine, for sure. I feel your pain! If my family wants pizza (we would order it every Friday night) I have started ordering either a salad, and use my own dressing (1 Tbsp) (from Dominos) or the gluten free pizza for myself, no cheese, with spinach and chicken. Really low in calories... and I can eat 3 slices. 270 calories 9g fat, 48 carbs (yes it's a lot but if I eat very little carbs during the day I can spare it!) and 9g of protein. Don't beat yourself up, allow this to be a motivator, and this week will be even better!

wonder if i could go to pizza hut buffet and just eat salad and the top off the pizzas.

I do that all the time, Linda. God gave you two front teeth, use them to scrape the toppings off the pizza and eat copious amounts of fresh salad vegetables on the side, you can't go wrong. I love the smell of a pizzeria, and have no fear or need extra planning to eat there in a social situation. lol

I make my own pizza sauce so that I can control the salt. I freeze it in an ice cube tray. One cube is perfect for one pizza. I use pita rounds. They work perfectly and are an automatic portion control. I’m not a pepperoni person, so mine is red/green peppers, nopales, onions, 2Tablespoons of chopped black olives and 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese.

Love nopales, and I'm an anchovy fan on pizza, it ensures that no one tries to bogart my pizza in most company. lol

What Rosio said!

I just take off the toppings and don't eat the crust! I'm low carbing it so there are very few carbs in the toppings.

Don't beat yourself up over it, Keep in mind success is not about things going right, its what YOU do when things go wrong. Pizza is hard to resist (ok its impossilbe to resist) so what have been doing is having that one slice, then strip off the toppings and toss them in with leafy salad stuff and still enjoy the taste. Don't deprive yourself, its ok to indulge once in a while. Just get right back to your plan when you do.

When someone else supplies the pizza and I cannot resist a taste, I have just a small piece and then eat only the toppings from a second piece. Still get the flavor and most of the satif

Guess my computer thought, I had said enough! Anyway, get most of the satisfaction without all the carbs. May not be the best alternative, but works for me.

Yep, don't beat yourself up, ....we all have some setbacks at times, its what we do to learn from them that really matters ! Refocus, you got this.
