I need to figure out how to change up what i am eating. I am starting to get burned out on avocado's, turkey breast, cottage cheese, and string cheese. I need to do research to see what would be good to replace these with.any suggestions?

I eat a lot of chicken breasts, cooked different ways so they don't always taste the same. I don't like a lot of heavy sauces, but I do like to cook with wine (both regular and non-alcoholic) and various spices. Also pork loin and chops are good.

Courgettes, aubergines, spinach, tomatoes, asparagus, mushrooms, salad, fish, almonds, almond butter and cauliflower. All low carb and high in nutrients. Avocado mixed with lemon or lime juice and tahini makes a delicious salad dressing. I make ground flaxseed into crackers and have them with salmon pate, yummy! Flaxseed wraps are delicious too.

Shirataki noodles are a great replacement for pasta if you are following a low carb WOE. I toss mine with low carb Italian sausage links and some low carb Alfredo sauce. Or you can just toss them with bacon. Fat bombs are always awesome for a sweet tooth, as well as sugar free jello. I also use La Banderita brand Low Carb Soft Tacos to make sandwiches, enchiladas, quesadillas, and the like. These have 11 grams of carbs per tortilla, and you only need half of a tortilla if you are making it into a sandwich.

@ForJandM you salad dressing sounds delicious. can it stay for a few days or will it go brown...I love avocados but can't keep them from turning brown. Thanks

@NavymomT I found this simple recipe and it added a new somethin somethin to my weekly plan. 2 cups cottage cheese, 2 oz cream cheese, sweetener to equal 3T of sugar, grated lemon peel and (optional vanilla)....I put this in my Ninja thingy and poof it's a thick, creamy something new that has an awesome taste. Also, maybe trying some different kinds of cheese; and you could throw a couple of chicken breasts in a slow cooker and add chicken broth...when cooked you can shred it like pulled pork and eat it in a lettuce wrap. Instead of the broth make a bar-b-q sauce with sugar free ingredients. Hope that helps.

@IamLinny It needs to be eaten right away. I make another one with hemp oil, lime or lemon juice, chilli and english mustard than keeps in the fridge for a week.

IamLinny, do you know a BBQ sauce recipe that doesn't use sugar? I tried one that was okaaaay, but won't do again. I miss my killer sauce (Neely's recipe), but it needs to be replaced.

I use Sriracha instead of bbq sauce, still has a gram of sugar per serving, though, so watch out!

I use some A1 steak sauce some times as it isn't a large source of carbs, but only a small amount with a larger portion of meat. I fear that I'll knock myself out of ketosis with sauces so I make sure it is a very small amount with a large salad. I think it has been working, but I still find myself craving carbs every so often. I think it is more me wanting to eat the foods I want to eat than my body telling me it needs carbs. I really do miss a lot of foods D:.

Make tuna or salmon using cream cheese for some of the mayonnaise. Grate some cheddar cheese in with the tuna, or get some shredded parmesan for a stronger flavor.
