Thanks Cindy for the vote of confidence, girl. I am so glad that I will not be making any more travels ANY time soon. That is what as slowed me down. 2 vacations in Cancun Oct and November, and a belated Christmas celebration with family in December. I had little control over what went on the kitchen, so I took three days off right around New Years. Got right back on plan the day I returned home.... Now I am waiting. I lost 3 lbds of water weight right off the bat, but now I wait...and wait. I even decided to forego a special formal dinner last night which was work related. It would have been a waste to spend $30 for a meal I could not eat - so I stayed home. How dorky would that look to walk in the ballroom with my formal gown and dangly bling bling on my dreamy DH's arm toting my lunch box with tuna salad and celery sticks?! LOL Anywho, I've been following the plan to a T since Sunday, so I know my time is coming. I expect ketosis is right around the corner, perhaps delayed by the snow, maybe? LOL

Hah, blame it on the snow! Are you getting hit in Virginia? We are getting snowed in in New York and I love it. No where to go until later, and then we just have to travel 7 miles to a church. Hubby on his way out with the snowblower. Hang in there Evie!!! Grats on sticking to it so closely!!! It is a slippery slope and you are an inspiration to me!!!

Evie, not to fret, I think due to the huge demand as result of Post Holiday re-committment, Ketosis is running behind, but will be at your doorstep before you know it....:) I too am waiting for a delivery. You are due for a "whoosh" real soon. Sorry you had to miss your event last night, but happy that you resisted the temptation...Have a wonderful day.

Hey Evie - I understand you have invited me for a visit. I just want to be sure you are sincere about your invitation, as the last time I came you booted me out for something else! I'm taking my sweet time as a test to your endurance!! Be there in a couple of days...if you are good! Love, Ketosis

Robin and Deborah, you've got me laughin over here. Thanks for your kind compliment Robin - (awww, so sweet you are) - and yes, we are getting some flurries, but nothing too crazy. Deborah, you are truly amusing - one fun gal! And thanks for wishing me my WHOOSH weally wapidly. I'm waiting... No worries about last night. I have no regrets, but I know that my professional colleagues won't understand why I wasn't there, and that makes me sad. It's too involved to "explain it" to e v e r y o n e - but I'm glad ya'll understand. I felt it was a choice I had to make.

Lol your post made me giggle. I know what you mean though, not doing Atkins but eating low enough carbs to go into ketosis during the week. Hang in there sista!

Ketosis, ketosis, "what chu talkin' 'about"? I have been committed to you and demonstrated my devotion. I just had to go into a kryptonic environment which was harmful, even devastating for you. It was an "uncontrolled environment" as Robin says - so you could not stay long. Keto, you KNOW I am committed to you! You test my endurace, you bad boy, cuz' I'll show YOU! Now, get on 'ova here, you crazy cat! (Love you Paula!)

I'm comin' ...I'm comin' ...in my own 'sweet' time! (hate to tell you some people can take 2-14 days to get back in Ketosis.) Not sure where you read 4 days...but that would likely be an average. I have 'unknowingly' knocked myself out...and it took 12 days of very strict, disciplined eating to get me back in. (sorry :( But I still love you! And you'll be back w/ your friend in no time...just hang in there...stay true...and keep up w/ your water.

Four for me! If "Mr. Stress" would just leave my hut, there'd me more room for "Mr. Keto"! I am one patient lady, though... Let me go suck on a bottle of water to help things along!

btw, it takes four days for the "contraband" foods to leave the body once consumed, and then ketosis should kick in right after that - if all other factors are in order. For this reason, it can take longer than four days, but that is the average. Just wanted to explain where the proverbial "4" came from.

Well, you didn't mention Mr Stress. Now that is another story altogether!!! They are arch enemies, you know!! Breath - Smell the Roses...Blow out the candles!!! (deep in through the nose...out through the lips...all the way out...til you have no air left...keep going...ok, now innnnnn through the nose.........out through the lips........) keep doing that until Mr Stress becomes bored...he'll leave.

ROFLMBO! Oh Leanne! Giggles Giggles! Well, Sherlock Holmes was an Brit, was he not? Can't get a better PI than he...and he's a local fella. How cool is that?!
08 Jan 11 by member: Evie1010
Yeah he was a Brit but a boring one lol and really don't like his deer stalker hat and pipe what was he thinking when he thought that was a good look! Lol Maybe a sexier private investigator would be better as he would be worth chasing around to get my exercise in! Lol I heard on the grape vine that the scarlet pimpernel is aka mr ketosis!!!
