A little bit frustrated this morning. Scale is up slightly, even though I worked out really hard yesterday even in the heat, and ate well. I know that some of this has to be catch-up from the holiday and the dinner the day after, And I'm glad I log these things because otherwise I would forget. My keto strip was bright pink this morning as well. So, it could be water retention, it could be some more muscle working its way into my life. I'm more annoyed than worried. Turned down a movie date yesterday with a girlfriend because of the popcorn temptation. We're going out to dinner tonight, but someplace I can eat low carb more easily. Stay cool folks.

Edit, must remember the scale is only one number in the health equation for me. Arms, shoulders and legs are much stronger. Breathing in the pool is way better. I've even learned how to use the snorkel for laps with only the occasional lung full of water. I can move 50lb bags of sand without being lightheaded or dizzy. These are the things I need to focus on.

You have figured this out. I weigh daily out of habit but could care less what the “number” is on any given day. It’s the trend line over several days and how my clothes fit that give me the best clues.

you are doing great and you are so right the scale is just a number, the change to your health and vigor are all the bright spots of your hard work. clothes that you could not wear before start fitting.

I know how you feel...I am a bit frustrated as well...I exercise and I am watching what and how I eat...maybe it's muscle forming...Idk...I am so frustrated due to lack of results...

I'd say you are really doing great. If you feel and look stronger, if your breathing capacity while snorkeling is greater, if you can pick up and move 50 lbs of sand more easily, you are reaping the benefits of focusing on more healthy living! Yes, the scale is a part of it, but there is so much more that says you are doing great!

Weigh yourself every day.. it gives you a more accurate reading on what your body is doing! Don’t let that scale discourage you!

I have a book called "Strong Women Stay Young" about the importance of strength training for women. One of the key aspects of the studies performed was that while women grew stronger, the weight loss was a by-product. Their bodies slimmed and shaped naturally, not from pumping iron, but from doing simple exercises a couple of times a week. It's encouraging to me and I am going to dig through the garage this weekend for my old dumb bells. If you're finding better strength and ability when exercising (and just living!) then your body is doing exactly what it needs to do. The weight will come off as your tastes and habits change.
