Sugar is so addictive...poor hubby does need to get a grip. I tell my spouse to hide stuff...if I do not know it is there...but I have gotten better over the years of just not caring if it is there or not. I make a decision to take care of myself and just walk away.

Yes sugar is very addictive! I think it is horrible that the sugar industry puts it in so much stuff and gets us hooked. But I guess some people would say "they aren't forcing it down our throat". I was on a binge last weekend that just ended yesterday. Fortunately the kids & grands have left and I cleaned out the frig & cupboards of junk. I don't like twinkies either but would eat them if I knew they were here.

You have no control over others but you also don’t need to do everything for him. Let him make his own appointments and deal with what is involved in managing his medical issues. Don’t let his poor choices drag you into making your own poor choices.

I'm sorry for your situation. It makes it hard when you don't have support. I agree with others, take care of you and believe it's going to work. 💜

Yes, it makes it harder when you do not have support, but seriously, it is not other people’s responsibility. The individual is the one who will pay the ultimate price, not their friends, boyfriends or even family. Do it for yourself and who knows others may climb on board. If they don’t, they don’t.

Very hard to see someone you love not taking care of themselves. You do you. Hopefully, your progress snd example will inspire him. I certainly know what it is like to not have support. Plenty of support on FS and so many nice people. Good luck!

Keep going Missy! You are going to start feeling great with your good diet and exercise. Don’t give up. You are worth it. You can’t make someone else want it good health but maybe you’ll inspire him!

ride the bike, it means so much to get up on it and do it! Suffer a little now and reap the rewards later.

I'm sorry about your hubby. I know how it is to have a food pusher in the house! He means well, but makes it difficult for sure! For me out of sight outbof mind works best too. I also find eating a bit more protein helps stop my sugar cravings. Instead of having candy while I'm watching tv, I will have a Greek yogurt instead. I hope you can find something that works!
