Two thoughts...

First thought - I REALLY wish people would stop PMing me to tell me to use a different diet...really??? Keep your opinions to yourself!!!

AND - second though...which was the main reason I logged in (but got distracted by the third email this month telling me I should do things differently)....

Does anybody ever feel a fear that they didn't really lose weight and that it was all just water weight and they're wrong and not really losing weight???

I don't know why I feel like this but I feel like this often :(

Like I didn't work hard enough or deserve to have lost 42 lbs so maybe I'm wrong...it's a horrible fear/feeling so just wondering if anyone feels the same ever?

Hsppy Monday all

I have that fear once a week. Like, my pants really are tight, I am just squeezing into the smaller size and I didn't really lose almost 20 pounds, not that I put the cotton pants into the dryer for too long. Hang in there!

Hmmm, I'm glad I'm not one of those folks who PM'd you re changing your diet, that's just a bit intrusive IMO. As to your question, so far luckily no...although there are times I do fear that I'll lose my grip and regain.

I agree! I'm vegan and people keep telling me to go keto... the diet of all animal! Seriously. You do you! Gaurantee you I will support you and never try to change you.

I totally used to think I wasn’t really loosing the weight. My husband was after me to buy new clothes. I couldn’t bring myself to spend the money thinking I was just going to gain it back, overnight! I finally did buy new clothes and fast forward 3/4 years and I have kept most of it off. I did gain some back after falling and breaking my shoulder but I am working on getting those 5 pounds back off. As far as changing your diet, why? If it works for you why change? Good luck.

I apologize too. You guys at fat secret have made me understand that, diet is diet. I won't criticize anymore. Everybody is unique.

Getting weighed once every few months using an InBody body composition scale assures me that I'm losing all body fat! If there's a business/doctor's office around you with one, I really recommend it!

Seriously people are messaging you about your dietary choices? That’s just ridiculous. If it’s working for you who gives a crap 🤦🏻‍♂️

We all have vastly different body types, genetics, and dietary needs. You have follow your gut, literally. My husband is fully keto, me not so much but lost 5.6 lbs since Thursday. Sometimes it just the small shifts and changes, for me it was cutting down on my sugar intake gradually. Just enjoy the journey of being mindful and body positive.

How come no one ever emails me suggesting I change diets?!

Hang in there. Sadly there are those people that feel compelled to tell people how to approach things. Well [bleep] them. You are doing what feels (and thus is) right for you. Keep at it. Don't let the BS others bring to the tale intrude on YOUR plan. As for that feeling you describe... yes, I get it as well at least in my own way. I got no magic bullet for that beyond at those times is to remind yourself of your overall progress and grind though it because you are working hard and more than deserve every win that YOU create.

I second the “whatever works for you keep it going” you are doing amazing. Health is a life choice. Remember where you were and just think where you you be in a few years. Keep your eye on the prize. Time flys, take it one day at a time. Keep it going.

There are a ton of programs or diets that all work, but what works for each person’s lifestyle is what matters. If you’re feeling good, have energy, and you’re shrinking, then KCKO! <3

That's so rude of them! Uh, I think you can make decisions for yourself, just like they have. So, even though I have only lost half of what my goal is, I went bathing suit shopping this weekend after eating a treat meal of cheeseburger and milkshake! Talk about questioning weight loss! Yikes! Let the numbers reassure you that it's not all water. You're doing great. 😊

Holy cow! I want to loose 42# of water weight!!! I’m not sure if the diet path I chose is healthy or correct , whatever. It’s no ones business- except that it’s working! Your doing well, just be patient and happy. No; your doing great! Celebrate life!

I am sorry people have Pm'd you suggesting you change you nutrition plan. Of course, most of us support you to do what works for you! The others are arrogant and think they are "right." Just ignore them of you are able.

Just do what works for you! I get questioned by family often but my diet is working for me and I feel good. Trust the process—you are losing more than water!!

You done good with losing 42 #'s - What works for you is what works for you.

Oh, yeah. Fellow "Imposter Syndrome" person here! I read somewhere that something like 70% of the population experiences these feelings, so please know that you are most definitely not alone! In my experience, I tend to have these feelings more when something has shaken my confidence more than usual, and the antidote is what you've done right here - reach out for reassurance that you're not alone, and let others remind you of your accomplishments! 42 pounds is an achievement. It didn't just happen, you *made* that happen, and you worked dang hard to do so! You *are* a force to be reckoned with, and you're going to continue to make more things happen. :)
