I am 72 and have been married 55 happy years. Been retired 10 fun filed years now. Like to travel by train. bus tours and sometimes by car. Live in Michigan but spent 20 years in Cody Wyoming just outside of Yellowstone National Park.Have three grown children and 8 grandchildren and one great grand child.
Love walking and or biking for my exercise. We go to the Senior Center for out lunches. I like this as it is our main meal. Then just something light for dinner. Been fighting my weight all my life and I am at my heavest right now. I don't want to loose a lot because at my age it will show up in my face and I don't want to look any older then I am. Just 20 lbs for now and then will reavaluate . My diet is my own and I try for a well balanced diet higher in protein and veggies and lower in carbs.

I was looking forward finding friends and relating to people my own age. I can't do the things that the young whipper snappers do.

Thanks to everyone that replyed. Good info. I willget a heart monitor.
I went to some of the "senior "groups but there doesn't seem to be any seniors there. Sad. I want senior friends because I can't do what you young whipper snappers can do. I am 72. Laughing So if you are a senior responding to this came join me. Seniors loosing weight together.

climbing stairs
I live in a 10 story highrise and was going to turn it into my own private exercise place by climbing the stairs everyday. Does anybody know how many calories I would be burning. I do know it is also good for cardiac .A lot of huffing and puffing. LOL
