Drummer, car enthusiast, beer connoisseur, BBQ pit master, foodie. How many other weight gaining vices can I have. Started adulthood at about 115 lbs, now I am almost twice that size and ready for a change as I enter my 40's soon. Motivation is my biggest killer. Help keep me on track.

Weight Gain and working out
I'm sorry, I know you are working you tush off, but you are over training. The body needs rest to recover. Here's a good article that discusses it. Take a break and relax. You deserve it.

Alcohol question
I drink vodka and a natural lime flavored club soda. I agree that you have to measure and log those numbers. If you look at my diet log you will see that my Saturday's are hosed. Of course I only try to drink one night a week if I am going to drink. My weakness is that I like a nice Russian Imperial Stout, and they are not "diet" friendly, at all. There's a pork chop in every bottle along with a side of potatoes and and chocolate cake.
