I am in my mid-50s and would like to lose 40 to 50 pounds. This is the same 40 to 50 pounds I have been gaining and losing all my life. Now I'm starting to have some health problems, made worse by my weight. I really want to live an active lifestyle without pain. Losing weight and keeping it off is critical for me at this time in my life. I am on a low carb, high fiber, high protein diet of 1,500 calories or less per day. Since Jan 1st. I have averaged about 1400 calories a day and have lost 8 lbs. Glad to have a group of people with similar goals!

How many calories are in 4 0z. of grilled or roasted pork?
Both your responses helped a lot. It's looks like I have been doing the right thing by using the higher number because I have been buying loin. In the future, I'm going to use tenderloin to keep the calories down. I didn't realize there could be such a big difference & I like tenderloin just as much. Thanks!

How many calories are in 4 0z. of grilled or roasted pork?
Help! This is making me crazy. The calories on FatSecret for pork are all over the place. I generally eat either 4 oz of pork roast that has been roasted in the oven, or 4 oz. of the meat from a grilled pork chop. What are the calories? I was using a pork roast entry from FatSecret that says 4 oz. are 217 calories, but I see there are many other sites that say pork has 130 calories in a 4 oz. serving. That's a huge difference, especially when I'm trying to stay under 1,500 calories per day! Does anyone know what is really correct? Thanks in advance!

Adding a Recipe to My Cookbook on Fatsecret - Question
I am trying to add a personal recipe to my cookbook, but the KCAL count (and probably the nutrition info) is considering the whole recipe 1 serving. I put 6 in the number of servings but it is not dividing the ingredient information into 6 portions. Any suggestions? This would be an awesome tool if I could get the information to be accurate. Thanks.
