I am 51 and struggling with menopause and weight gains. I am starting on a Primal/Keto plan and seeing if I can stick to this. I need to do this for a healthy future. I went Paleo some time back but eventually strayed and went back to eating a standard semi-healthy diet that then evolved into more and more sweets being included in that diet. I also have a severe addiction to diet coke that I need to overcome! I am trying to squash those sugar cravings and get back to a healthier lifestyle. Heart disease and Alzheimers run in my family..... So far, I have good check-ups with no major health issues and I want to keep it that way. I intend to "enjoy" growing older!

Net Carbs
Thanks! I have been just mentally calculating them.

net carbs - xilitol
Ok I have a question for fellow KETO dieters.. DO you count sugar alcohols in your net carbs? I seem to remember that those are deducted just like fiber, but I am not sure. The reason behind my question is Gum. I am a chewing gum lover and I am not sure if this is creeping my carbs up. I am using Pur or Spry gum which are both sweetened with Xyliytol, they contain 1-2 carbs/1-2 sugar alcohols per serving depending on the brand
