I'm just another average lady trying to beat the weight off. I've always been a chubby girl, with small moments of glory with one diet or another. The last 5 years have been a progressive gain, where I've climbed as high as 232. Shameful. Really.

I'm 31 years old, and I'm ready to act like I'm in my 30s - adventurous, outgoing, and active. That being said, I'm an engineer, spending 95% of my day sitting at a desk, reading & typing away while my butt grows bigger and bigger.

Just like most overweight Americans, there are many reasons that have contributed to my obesity. I joined this site to to conquer each of my excuses, and get to my weight loss/health goals. I want to develop a healthy lifestyle that limits my ability to stay obese. What does that mean? Less fast food, less eating out, less couch time, less cheesecake, less impulse eating, more activity, more adventure hikes, more motivation to be out & about, more natural foods, more life.

I'm excited about this change. I'm excited to be a normal person, rather than the fat girl that bumps her thighs around corners & squeezes into airline seats. I'm ready to have more energy and flexibility. Tracking my food & excersize is the key to getting to my goals.
