By now everyone has heard of the 30-60-90 day workout packages. I started a group so that we can all stay on top of it. I have purchased one of the plans that I will share in the group but am lacking the motivation. I am great on day 1 and sometimes day 2 but have not stuck to the plan and therefore never reaped the rewards. That is until I had the ideal to start a group. I am a social person period and working out using a dvd program is not a social event but with a fatsecret group support and hearing about the journey surrounding different programs it can become a little more exciting. Embedded into the 30 days to a new you group is everyone's personal cheering squad. Most dvd programs come with the social component but I wanted this group to be nonspecific in promoting and discussing the pro and cons of different programs.


About this Group:
For anyone who has purchased a fitness dvd that just needs a little motivation to break open the plastic and stay consistent.

I am really starting to enjoy running and I joined a running club. From this experience I have discovered that I am a social runner. Running with other people pushes me farther than i would run by myself.

I also enjoy reading and just finished "Chasing Hope" by Kathryn Cushman the gest of it was the main character Sabrina Rice was diagnosis with debilitating arthritis which thwarted her dreams of becoming an Olympic hopeful. As she moves on from her deferred dreams she is faced with running head on when she encounters the troubled Brandy Phillips running at lighting speed from campus security. Brandy gets in more trouble and Sabrina is her best hope.

This book was so inspiring about running and how once you give yourself to the sport it becomes a part of you. I wanted to ask forum members if there are any books about fitness that have inspired you?

foods I ran from as a child, but now enjoy
This Halloween after reviewing the candy hull the black licorice was headed to the trash can as usual. Somewhere deep within my adult self I tried black licorice and I liked it imagine that. Of course, I know that most of the food manufactured during the halloween season is sugar laden. The candy version is made of licorice extract and anise. Nevertheless, this food experience had me thinking of what other foods did my childhood food aversion keep me from trying. I tried brussel sprouts with a new twist and they are my new favorite item in salads. Tell me what foods did you swear off as a child but have recently tried and lived to tell us about lol.
