Last year for our anniversary my boyfriend and I went to Hawaii. A few months before we went I knew I had to get myself on a diet so I wouldn’t feel completely uncomfortable wearing a swimsuit on the beach. I’ve had a weight issue almost my entire life but at that point I was my heaviest. I worked hard for several months and before our trip I had lost 30lbs! I had a great time buying new clothes right before our trip. My goal was to keep the diet going after our trip and finally get to a reasonable size.
The day I returned back to work from our trip, I was laid off. I spent a month not knowing what to do and then I decided to go back to school and fulfill my childhood dream of working with animals. I’m now in my third semester of a Vet Tech program and working hard towards my degree!
For New Year’s I quit smoking and noticed I of course had gained some weight (not to mention holiday weight) and got on the scale. I had gained 10lbs back. I knew this couldn’t continue. I am resolved to not diet and exercise and then stop! My goal is to diet and exercise until I am happy with my weight and then be active in maintaining that weight, no more yo-yo’ing!
With a little help from Alli, fat secret and some creative calorie cutting I have already lost the 10lbs I gained and am back to my weight from last year.
