I was born and raised in a small mining town in northern Ontario Canada. I was married for 28 years and then became a widow. I then met a man from down here in the US, we married and we've been together for 8 years this year. I love the US, its such a beautiful country. I love to cook and now that I'm on fat secret I'm finding many low carb recipes that I can enjoy and not worry about gaining weight. I walk at least 30 minutes 6x's a week.

Photographing Your Recipes
I was wondering, is there a way we can photograph our recipes and publish them with the recipe? I think this would be a great way to see what we make will look. Anyone have any ideas.

The Dangers of Splenda
This article, doesn't paint a very good picture of the product "Splenda". If you're using it in your food, please take the time to read it.

Mini Cocoa Swirl Cheesecakes
Hi All:

I just submitted the above recipe for you all to enjoy. It's got to be approved as of yet, but I don't see why it won't. It comes out of the Quick and Easy Meals South Beach Cookbook. If you have this little gem, you can find this particular recipe on page 298. I've made them, but used non-dairy ingredients in them which makes this even less fattening. You can find the vegan recipe on recipezaar if you're inclined to do so. These aren't particularly sweet though, so be aware of that if you decide to make them.

Hi
Hi: I was worried about bread too, but I was fortunate to find sprouted bread/buns that are pretty good and not too high in carbs. I haven't found any pasta that is great, though I've heard others speak of a product called Dreamfields. Apparently it's lower in carbs then the other pastas. Smile
