The short and sweet version: I'm 37, married with one son. I go to a Baptist church close to my house and I want to dedicate my life to God, but I'm not sure how.
I work as a temp for a big mortgage company, it's ok, but not what I want to do when I grow up.
I have been heavy/overweight for 98% of my life. I was sort of thin once, but I didn't realize it at the time. Now I want to get back to that weight (135) so my driver's license will be accurate once again!
I ride a Harley when the weather is nice.
I usually speak my mind and appreciate total honesty (even when it hurts) from my friends and family.
I love to cook and, not to brag, I'm pretty decent at it (which is why I have a weight "issue)
I want to work with people with autism and Downs Syndrome if I am ever given the chance. My cousin had Downs and he was a pure blessing to eveyone that met him.
I've tried every diet, every pill, shake, powder and lotion...they don't work. After 30+ years of "being on a diet" I weigh more than ever and now realize that the only way to actually lose weight without going broke is to eat right and exercise.
So...here goes nothing!!

My main motivation to lose weight is to see what I'll look like when I'm skinny. I keep seeing the commercials and I'm like WOW I wonder what I'll look like???
But, I remember being 135 in High School, I'm now 205-ish and I think I look EXACTLY the same...hmmm what has our society done to us that we can never be happy with what we look like? I see picture of "thin-me" and I remember thinking that I was fat then too.

I should be happy that I still look like I'm 18 at 37, but nooooo I want to be skinny too!
Society really sticks it to us!

Cocktails
you can always get a Jaeger (sp) bomb with diet Red Bull...the bar I go to uses the drink gun for their red bull and it tastes like...well it's gross. but if you order diet it is awesome.
I like margaritas, but they are definately not diet Laughing
Just stay away from the mixers, like the sour mix or or OJ...go for something mixed with diet soda. Or do like I do...add an extra workout next week Wink

Flavor...seasonings...
I love lemon-pepper on just about anything. the biggest thing I've noticed about all spices is that you get what you pay for. A lot of store brands are "ok" but to really get the best flavor I go for the name brands. I tried store brand lemon pepper vs a High dollar brand...it was like comparing a tricycle to a roll royce! I always think that spices are way too expensive, but if you store them properly, they will keep for a really long time

Detox Week
I'm doing the extrememe too.
I did really well the first week, but slipped that weekend so I stayed on cycle 1...actually for 3 weeks now.
I think that the diet works better if you continue through the cycles in order, then go back through again if you want/need to lose more.
It seems like I read in the book that you can go through the cycles in any order, after going through once, but you shouldn't do the same one twice...I've lost 7 pounds, most was the 1st cycle, I haven't been very good since that first week

they are kinda high in fat, but fried onions (the kind you use for green bean casserole) are awesome on a salad..just don't eat the whole can like I do Smile
