I joined Fatsecret in August of 2010. At that time I weighed 186. I set my first goal weight at 155. I was already down 16 pounds since first beginning my weight loss journey 7 months earlier when a visit with my doctor got me started. My weight had reached an all time high of 202 pounds. My doctor told me that I was prediabetic, and, if I didn't lose weight and start exercising I would soon be diabetic.

I set a goal to lose 50 pounds by the time I turn 50. Well, my birthday is 6 1/2 weeks away and at my current weight of 168, I still have 16 pounds to go to reach the 50 pound mark. I'm not sure if I'll make it by then but I'm sure going to try. I don't want to start my 50's overweight and out of shape.
