I am a 27 year old mother to a beautiful little girl born in January of 2011. I am 5'5" and starting out at 202lbs. I have always been a 'thick' girl. I love food but I need to make a change in my life. I enjoy working out but it's hard for me to find the time. I need to put myself first now and be the best I can be- for my future and to be a good role model for my daughter. I dont want her to ever remember me as unhealthy and unfit. I am ready! Hittint the gym January 17th, 2012. I have a 17 week goal to lose around 50lbs :) I just want to be somewhere in the 150's for once in my life. I would be comepletely thrilled with that!!

Low fat diet and depression/anxiety
please watch the documentary "fat head" by tom naughton. you can find it for free at hulu.com ...he touches upon low fat diets at one point and explains why they make you depressed and in some cases suicidal. your brain is made of fat and it needs good fat to function and feel good!!! good luck on your journey!
