What Makes You Fat: Too Many Calories, or the Wrong Carbohydrates?
Well I'm learning that, at least for me, grains and sugars really do cause me to gain weight. I used to try so hard to lose weight. I would count calories all the freakin time. More than 1600 and I'd gain. Less than that and I'd just stay the same. The only way for me to LOSE was to have under 1100, sometimes 900. And in that case, I was most definitely losing muscle and destroying my body. I would rip out my hair with frustration, trying to figure out how to lose weight.

now I'm losing weight while eating a ton MORE food, MORE calories, but the food I'm eating now is different. No grains, hardly any sugars... I started last year by cutting out wheat, and that helped other things. But it was only since I've cut out ALL grains, and INCREASED MY FAT, that I've lost weight!!

I also have a ton more energy, and waaaay less anxiety. Oh and I'm super happy! I never feel that horrible starving feeling...well, that CRAVING feeling. I used to eat and eat and never feel full. I thought I had some disease at one point...something seriously wrong with me... But nope. I eat this way, I eat as much as I want, and the next morning? Bam. I've lost more weight. Mind you, a bunch is probably water weight... but my health is improving so much, that I know this is the right thing for me to do. (also, I started at 224lbs - it's only once I was down to 205 lb that I joined this site)

I wish other people knew this!! I have friends who are always starving themselves and working out for HOURS every day, and they are just miserable. And not losing weight. actually gaining weight. And starving, and then "caving" and bingeing. I want to help them!! omg and I just realised this post sounds like an infomercial or something, haha. Also maybe I should be writing this in my journal!!

I've already gotten people commenting on my journal saying what I'm doing is a big fail, because I'm eating too many calories to be able to lose weight. Nope, sorry. I think they are misinformed. It's sad. Sad
