In late 2011, I weighed 227 pounds and was diagnosed with liver function failure. I was told that if I did not change my lifestyle, I would get gall stones and would eventually need my gall bladder removed. I got effin scared! I don't want to be cut open at all. This bad news totally motivated me to lose weight.
I read like a dozen books on diet and exercise and steadily lost about two pounds a week. My goal was to ultimately shed 100 pounds. Well, I lost 82 pounds, got to 145 and got a bit… sidetracked. My motivation to lose weight flew out the window and I got comfortable in a size 9. I really think that wearing dresses sized at a single number did miracles for me. I was so happy... so happy that I lost focus and stopped losing weight. This was at the end of 2012.
Well, hello 160 pounds and 2014. Am I gaining it back? I best not! I think it's time to get back on the bandwagon and lose the last 33 pounds before I have to start buying size 20 again! :O
