I am a 39 (yikes--almost 40!) year old wife and mom of three girls and a big sweet golden retriever. I also am a public school teacher, and live on a busy farm. I have been on Fatsecret since Spring,07, and started Weight Watchers in Sept. 07. I have had a basically life-long obsession with both food and dieting, but I think I have truly accepted that I have to make lifestyle choices to support my weight loss and maintenance. Exercise has been a regular part of my routine now for several months, and that has helped me tremedously--especially when I "fall off the wagon" with food! I'd love to buddy up with others who are on the "journey" too.

old weight watchers diet with no points to count
I think I finally threw that out, but I kind of liked it also. However, you could use the dietetic exchanges program, similar to what diabetics use. Maybe google that? My mom used to use something like that when she was is TOPS (taking off pounds sensibly)

Sex after Weight Gain, Men and Ladies invited to Discussion :)
My husband, who is significantly overweight himself, has always been accepting of my size and shape, whether I was a size 18/20, pregnant with twins, or smaller...I'm not saying that he doesn't enjoy my smaller body--he does! The problems definitely lie within MYSELF. When I was larger (over 200 pounds, about 5 years ago and beyond), I would not to accept his compliments and often didn't enjoy sex as much. There's not a doubt in my mind that I needed weight loss start feeling better about myself. Getting a bit older (close to 40!) has helped some, as well as divesting myself of some of my "mommyclothes", a better hair style, blah blah blah.

Essentially, I have to "feel sexier" to be that way. When the weight is up now, the sex is good. When it's down, it's even better!

Points or Core?
I think that you just have to look at your lifestyle and eating habits (historically) to see if core would work, vs. points. To me, core allows you more food, but a more limited diet--very "whole-food". I tried it, briefly. It was tough to follow without totally making a different meal for my family--that they would actually eat. I think core is a very healthy plan--I have a friend who has lost 114 pounds on it. Good luck!

ALDI-Fit & Active
I have used quite a few of their products, although I think some of the best values at Aldi are those on the fresh fruit and vegetables! The nonfat vanilla yogurt (sugar sweetened) is very tasty and I use it in smoothies all the time. I wish they would bring out nonfat sour cream and lowfat cheeses. The quality seems to be good on everything I have tried.

HI EVERYONE!!!!!!! :0 :) :)
Hi Jessica!

I'd love a diet buddy. Your smile and energy come right through the computer screen--send some my way and I can try to do the same. I'd like to drop about 38 more pounds and get to about 140--I think it is a realistic goal for me and would definitely help raise my energy level to keep up with my busy life Shock

Le me know if you would like to keep it touch!
