Day 423
Weight 183 (down 1.8 lbs.)

Top of the mornin' to all!! And of course, for those of you who celebrate, Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I woke up about 15 minutes before my alarm was set to go off so I just got up. Hot flashes are returning with a side of insomnia ... I don't think it is stress related but it could be. It is what it is. I am pleased to be back in my range after my lovely up fluctuation of 8 lbs over the weekend.

Nothing really new to report. I am feeling a bit more like myself. I am having pretty strange dreams. It actually felt good to work yesterday, even if I was scattered and felt like I had gummy worms for brains!! LOL!! I have another new family to meet this afternoon and our weekly staff meeting before that. Soon it will be the weekend again. Before I know it I'll be packing for our trip to Mexico!!

So quickly ... my grateful list before I jump on the elliptical machine ...

1. feelings wax and wane ...
2. my weight is back in a reasonable range ...
3. my plants are still alive at work even though I keep forgetting to water them ...
4. longer days ...
5. freshly brewed coffee awaiting me after my exercise

I know I keep saying this but thanks for all your support ... it does help to vent ... today is another day ... may blessings be upon you all!!

Glen ... if anyone can do that you can!!! I just do the best I can, each and every day. Some days ... some months ... some years are just more difficult that others. I am still 'recovering' from the 'insult' this weekend but I feel like I am gaining some perspective. Life is so short ... I don't want to miss out on what I have and I do have so much. But oh how the funks do come ... fortunately they also go!

Top of the mornin' to you too moose. Good job getting those numbers up there on the chart and pulling back to very close to where you were. You sound a *lot* steadier today and I'm glad for that. When is the Mexico trip scheduled for? Happy St. Patricks Day!

Ga Marnin to ya Moosey... 'Am happee yar feelin a wee bit better this fine St. Paddy's Day (I do believe we're all a bit Irish on this day.) It just occurred to me that me own fine Irish fader --Patrick Shaw-- would have turned 100 years old taday were he still walking among us. God bless him...a fine Irishman he was who never took to the drink. (Now go figur that one.) The way I see things, he's up there, out there somewhere with all the saints, he is ... celebratin his 100th. Or better still, he's right here next to me, peerin over me shoulder as I write this to ya. Shall we raise a pint a beer (or water) to 'im? I believe his sweet, sweet spirit guides me still, in the most difficult of me times....and you might also find solace in reflecting upon the good spirit of someone who loved ya dearly -- your guardian angel(s), so ta speak, s peerin over ye own shoulder (and wiping yer tears)-- there with ya, to help ya when mere mortals fail. Cheers this fine Day to you and me fader, Moose!

Oh, I could fill this whole page with ((((((((HUGS))))))) for you! I've missed you so! Re your #1: Better "feelings wax and wane" than "leg wax and pain"! :) Although maybe that's in order before you leave for Mexico. I'm just sayin. ;)

Love the Irish brogue above. You wee lil Leprechauns are so cute! I sprayed my husband's LUCKY cologne on this morning! Get it? Luck 'o the Irish? I relate to the night time flashes. A few nights ago I got up and took a swig of NyQuil in the middle of the night to get back to sleep -- then was draggy the next day. How dumb is THAT! Geeeeesh!

Info ... YES the trip WILL happen!! Whatever will happen with FIL will happen whether or not we are here. He has a brother near-by who is now the 'go to' man for FIL and fake MIL. They have not called us and I do not expect they will. NOTHING expect perhaps death (ours that is) will come between us and celebrating 20 years of wedded bliss on the beaches of Mexico!! Deb ... vacations are my mental health, literally. Poet ... NyQuil in the middle of the night??? ARGHH!!! No wonder you felt groggy in the morn!! I haven't pulled that one ... yet!! Don't put it past me though!!! Amy ... I am so glad you are back!!! No leg waxing for me ... they are soft like a baby's behind!!! LOL!!
