Officially lost 15 since Dec 15. And I aim to keep it :) I do have to say, though, wearing my fitbit does help encourage me to get out there. It's measureable. And with challenges with friends, I don't like to lose or at least not lose to myself (depends on who it is). There are some I can't keep up with yet so I just try not to be last and beat or meet my own record. I did like doing my 45 min route at lunch and after work though so I may make that a thing most days. I did it 2 days ago to deal with stress and missed the lunch one yesterday when things got too hectic at work.

It's still cold here (for us), we had 40s overnight and my poor heater has been on more than off overnight cause I didn't want to deal with it. I know, I'm a wuss. I'm ok with that. This is why I live in FL.

Another busy day on the workfront but hopefully not a bad one. This has been a tough week. I am reminded that I choose how my life will be by my reactions to events and my perspective. I can't choose what happens but I can choose how I let it affect me. This is going to be a kickass year. I will make choices that benefit my life overall and broaden my "box" that I typically feel comfortable in.

And each day is a new chance to make it so. Have a kickass day buddies!

"I'm a wuss; that's why I live in FL" LOL (from a fellow wuss who lives in the South and can't handle/deal with cold/harsh winters)! Especially liked message in your last 2 paragraphs -- sounds like you're already well on your way to kickin' some ass with your daily walks! Like you said, they perform 'double-duty' in terms of exercise/steps and stress relief.

I was surprised yesterday when I really was jonesing for a walk at lunch time. Granted, it was a stressful day, but I'm finding I like the walking time and it was a relief to be able to go last night even if I had to bundle up to do it. I stretched my time out a bit from 45 to 62 minutes to help make up for it but didn't get the 90 mins I was hoping for. TOO COLD. I'll work on my endurance after I get the habit/schedule to feel "normal". If I don't keep it up, it kinda doesn't matter how long I can go once...

People here at work think I am crazy - maybe I am... maybe I'm not - but I walk every day in the morning (morning break) and at lunch - we had 4 inches of snow last night and today it is 27 with gale force winds... a tad brisk .... I figure I have to be burning more calories just trying to stay warm... I just "go to my happy place"... :)
