Socolova's Journal, 13 November 2014

Not much to report, life's been pretty boring for me, folks! Other than I saw some sort of creature in my backyard last night. It was as tall as my bigger dog and super fat....I'm not gonna lie, it looked like a really tall groundhog or like a furry pig or something. Kind of strange. Better keep an eye out for that one.....I might get famous for the discovery of a dog-pig...or it might eat my dogs...or me. HMMMMMM....

So, at hubby's work there is a "LIFE COACH". Well, she had meetings with everybody last week when he was there. They all had to say one thing they wish they did better and he said not being so stressed outside of work because of work. So, she recommended he take up yoga to help de-stress. Now, none of you know my husband. He is not very limber and super-uncoordinated. BUT, he thinks it's a good idea, he keeps saying he'd like to lose some weight and yoga is a very good place to start (and no more late night ice cream sundaes maybe...probably). So, this might be entertaining. I absolutely will support him and do it with him, but there miiiiiiiight be some good stories coming up! And I really miss practicing regularly and we've never worked out before together so this might be kind of fun(ny) :)

It's Thursday. Finally....c'mon Friday!!!!!!

I considered it cause we get them often, but it was TALL, like easily 18-20 inches on all fours...and it was like a creamish color...I thought it was another dog at first....

Hmm... interesting about the animal. Last night I was walking my dog and we ran into a skunk when we turned a corner, luckily we were far enough away it didn't spray us, but of course my dog barked at it as I dragged her away. As far as your husband doing yoga, it definitely sounds like it could be good for both of you, and entertaining at the same time! I'm curious to hear if he sticks to it, most guys I know who try yoga give up pretty quickly. :)

My bf is also not very limber, it's funny to watch, you will have fun at yoga with him.

Yoga is far more difficult than people think. I avoid it now. :D If that doesn't work for him, pushing weights will have the same effect. You can be just as meditative and calm pushing weights as doing yoga, except when you drop one. As to the 'dog', it sounds like a bear to me. They look deceptively small. On the other hand, if your dog is a chihuahua, it wasn't a bear.

Love it! I think yoga is harder than people think, I agree with Northernmusician, but if he starts with simple, beginner moves, he will advance just fine. Yoga will be part of my battle against age as well. Keep me limber/flexible for golf. Winter is a great time for it. Awesome! can't wait to hear stories.

NM, my dog is about 2 foot tall so he's not very large...I don't know what it was, I really don't...a chihuahua bear, haha cute

My wife and I worked out together once, and she swore she'd never work out with me again. In my defense, I was simply trying to help her use the equipment safely...she seems to think that I was bossing and/or making fun of her.

Whatever it was, hopefully it won't come back. Excellent job on your loss, and enjoy your yoga classes.

LG, were you? Be honest....haha jk....I think it'd be the other way around for me and my hubby, when he tried losing some weight with me coaching him he said i was bossy.......but then again, I do most of the cooking and I have more willpower so when he tried to order chicken wings at dinner I said HELL NO....I'm surprised we're still married, he loves chicken wings lol

This was years ago, but as I recall, if I noticed she wasn't using a piece of equipment correctly, I would correct her. But, I'm sure if she were asked, she'd tell a completely different story.

I learned with my kids when they worked out with me to just keep my pie hole shut, lol and come to think of it my dog tree'd a raccoon last year that was probably a little over 2 1/2 feet tall it was huge
