Scale up again. I am really struggling emotionally because of this. I have not veered of course with my WOE/LCHF whatsoever and drinking plenty of water. I don't feel that I am in ketosis at all, but I did when I shortly after I began LCHF.

I ordered a new body composition scale w/bluetooth so I connect to my old fitbit or other app that will work. It arrives Tuesday. My old scale weighs different every time I step on it, going up and up a lb or so each time. I think it is a gonner and showing me historical weight records.

I am trying to jolt things up a bit. I put butter and coconut oil in my coffee this morning. I have never done that before. So far, I've had 3 - 16.8 oz water bottles. Now I am afraid to eat that I will gain. Arrgggggg...

I am thankful that I don't sweat like I used to and that I am beginning to feel physically better. I am going to start checking my blood sugar when I get up in the morning and before I go to bed to see how it is responding.

My endocrinologist wants to check my cortisol level (I was supposed to have done it before I began LCHF and I ended up with the flu. Tomorrow, I am going to pick up the container for 24 hour urine. That will be fun. :)

Has anyone else had this stall and yo-yo problem and if so how can I fix it to get myself going in the right direction again? How about ketosis sticks? Do they work or not?

Haven't had a stall but I'm not on your woe. I mainly watch the carbs Have you googled? Just checked blood ketone 2.5. Do you use the meter or just the strips you should be midrange purple. Too much protein can kick out out, just like too many carbs, puzzling. I drink 5-7 16.9 oz bottles what about exercise not doing much just walking a couple miles twice a day. Good luck Sweetie

This can be so frustrating!! I think hormones definitely cause me scale grief sometimes. Have you tried intermittent fasting? It sounds intimidating but fasting from 6pm - 11am or 12pm the next day has helped the scale go down for me. It isn’t hard and you can drink some bone broth to hold you over. Good luck! I try to tell myself if I’m doing everything I should be doing, then the scale will have to move eventually but it is discouraging when it doesn’t.

8Patty, Thank you so much for all your advice. I'm changing my Don Francisco Vanilla Nut coffee to non flavored even though it says zero carbs. My computer crashed so I'm having to peck at my cell right now. I'm going to send a message to primary care physician in the morning. .

momma6224, Thank you so much for input!😁 I have been doing intermittent fasting 16/8 since I began LCHF on 1/30/18. I'm not giving up. I'm sending a message to Dr in the morning.

Don’t worry to much about the scale stay consistent and you’ll see and feel the difference.. I think it happens to everyone, stalls that is.

I have a lose and gain cycle each month. Coincides with my cycle. I also weigh daily, so I am familiar with the pattern and don't sweat the temporary upward swings when they happen. KCKO (Keep Calm and Keto On) Stay the course, don't lose heart and you'll see a nice whoosh!

keep in mind - your body will need time to adjust as you lose weight...... hence the stalls - mine thinks I'm going to go back to feeding it junk.... but then again I'm the one who taught it that. Years of back and forth so I can't blame my body for thinking that but as Ches says - my body my rules - it will learn and accept the new plan - eventually!!

Moondove, I had a plateau that lasted about 3-4 weeks. Kept going up and down 2 pounds. I really was getting frustrated. I did a bit of a longer fast and then increased my everyday caloric intake from about 1000/ day up to 1300-1400/day. Make sure you're eating enough calories a day :-) I do IF most days, I do a 16/8 schedule. I also am very watchful of my protein. Keeping it at 25% or less a day. Since I did all this I've started dropping weight again. About 2 pounds a week, which I'm good with, and consistently. Good luck to you! Keep going and you'll break through!

8Patty, Trying to use my fs phone app. I realized I didn't respond completely to you. I haven't used the keto testers. I've been on the fence. I believe I will order blood tester in lieu of strips. I've been measuring instead of weighing food. So have ordered a scale.. Thanks again for you help!😁

jenniferl12003, Thank you for insight and support! Can't hurt to give an increase in calories and keeping my carbs and protein in check. New body comp scale today and ordered a food scale to measure veggies and other carb hogs. 😁

Coach Ches gets the credit there! One of many admirable heroes here.
