Woke at 204.4, up 3.4 from yesterday. A clear result of having a large late dinner with steak, whiskey, wine, and two pieces of Italian bread!. And then, a pint of Halo Top Peanut Butter Cup ice cream when I got home. Seems like a perfect time to institute "Fasting Fridays" -- my first foray back into IF since my hospital visit. I will use each Friday as sort of a reset button, where I will fast for 24 hours from Thursday's dinner to Friday's dinner. Happy St. Patrick's Day to those who celebrate! UPDATE: Walked five miles today, breaking it up at lunch time and right after work before dinner. Of course, the Fitbit flaked out again and credited me with nine plus miles (but not the extra steps). I fasted until 6 pm and then ate a prepared dinner Denise got me at Wegman’s yesterday. Tasted good. I augmented with a bit of sharp cheddar and some broccoli snacks. Before I ate, I weighed in but was up to 205.6 as I have drunk a lot of water and coffee today. Hoping to drop some in the morning. May do a pre-bedtime weigh in as well, just to see what happens.

Since it takes 3500 calories that have not been expended to gain one pound and your scale showed 3.4 in one day, I suspect you are experiencing some bloating from water retention and your fasting will produce immediate results and you will feel "good as new" over the weekend!

LOL - EVERYONE I know loves the Halo Top Peanut Butter Cup...I like Lemon Cake but am avoiding the extra calories right now...my birthday in May will be a Halo Top day for sure!
