I fit in 'some' exercise, but no 'gym' yesterday! BOO! And then after running other people's errands, I had to go to the grocery store. Now one would think this was no big deal..but the Patriot's were playing last night.. and people acted like we were about to get the snow storm of the decade or something! It was MOBBED! Worse than at the holidays.

5-6 carriages deep at every line at every register! Really people... go home!

That chore took forever! By the time I got home from errands/groceries it was 3 hours from when I left, and my Mom was waiting for lunch. Apparently the guys around here at lunch and didn't think of her, as she was napping. (she has a cold, so they left her alone.)

Whatever! So, then it was nearly 3:00pm and I had to take the 17 yr old to work for 5:00 ... blah, blah... didn't make it to the gym. :(

But I did dance, and march and move around ... tried to get my steps up - didn't hit 10,000 though. Thank God for a new day!!!

My food intake has been averaging around 1350-1400 calories, and my calorie burn has been around 1900 - so still watching and waiting with my experiment. I do like the continual and 'real time' updates this thingy provides as it inputs your activity against what you enter for your food.

It's a worthwhile experiment.

Hope you are all well. Much Love.

Typical men!! Your poor mom having to wait that long, especially as she isn't well. At least you got to move around - there's always tomorrow for the gym :-)

Skinny - My thoughts exactly! They live in their own world! But she was fine. She didn't even realize it was past lunchtime, and wasn't particularly even hungry... but still! Anyway.. no harm done. I am most definitely going to the gym today... no matter what! Haven't done my hill climbing on the treadmill in over a week, been missing it! It always makes me feel like I 'accomplished' something! It's a sweaty workout, but not a 'hard' workout. Nothing like trying to run...which for me is nearly impossible. Don't know why...but I just don't do well with that. But I slow down the treadmill a little but bump up the incline and hike my way to the top of the mountain! It is really challenging, but fun in a weird sort of way! And I can do it! It's tough, but I just slow it down if I get too winded, or speed it up a hair if it feels too easy for too long! (hope that makes sense.) my one rule, is no holding on! Can't hold on if you're out on a trail somewhere...so no holding on in the gym. I try to make it alot like an actual hike out in the mountains.

No holding on is a good policy but, ever since my ROTC days, of running around the woods looking for points on a map, I usually have a walking stick to hold onto, if I'm in a wooded area hiking. I would run into stray dogs, some of which weren't too friendly. That being said, congrats on your resolve to get to the gym no matter what today.

Sorry you had a bad day - And can't believe they forgot about your Mother. Maybe you just let everyone rely on you a little too much.

That's the lot of a woman, isn't it? Your poor ol' mom. MEN! I think you had a productive day and got a lot accomplished. You kept moving even though it was doing grocery shopping and running errands for others. Also, I think that FitBit is growing on ya. ;) LOL! Have a great day! ((((HUGS!)))

What is the experiment? I'm curious because I too am trying to find calorie wise what to eat vs. how much I burn. I'm a total dork because I don't understand the chart when I look at the diet calendar. It's like the more I eat and added exercise, the lower my intake is?????? I guess I'm slow like that. Do you guys count all those sleep calories too or actual calories you physically burned? Wowzers if you're burning like 1900/day! I can't imagine! Glad you got some dance moves on! I was trippin myself out yesterday because we had to go to the grocery store too and I was dancing my way through the isles since I didn't have Curves yesterday. I'm sure I was a sight to be seen! :-) Today is a new day and you'll be perfect! Have a good day!

Sorry you had such a busy day. I'm sure you will feel great going to the gym today. I can't complain about men not cooking because my man is a cook and he does all the cooking at home. Truthfully I think he's afraid to eat what I cook. Does that FitBit allow you to enter individual foods/carbs?

Hi Paula, just saying hello, to let you know I am following your progress. You are walking your wee legs off. Glad you are enjoying your toy. Hope your mum feels better soon.
