I am a soon to be 32 year old mom of 1 daughter, Summer- aka my ladybug! I have never been good at taking care of myself. I know we control our own destinies so I am trying my best to lose this weight and do the things I want to do and be comfy in why I want to do them. That is a tough one for me- I am always doing for others. I am usually pretty hard on myself, but haven't quite found self-acceptance.

I suffer from diabetes (my family is obese and runs in the family)- was diagnosed at the age of 27. My mom is on kidney dialysis 3 days a week because she did not control her diabetes and take care of herself and I don't want to end up in the same boat.

I want to be healthier- but I'm not gonna lie. I wanna feel and look sexy! I want to feel better about myself when I walk into an business and not feel like all they see is a fat face and body. I want to have more energy. I want to look at myself in the mirror and stop seeing the fat sagging. I want to be better at jogging. I just wanna find me and be more comfy in my own skin!

Here are some short term goals:
220 by Christmas Day- MET (Yay!)
215 by New Years Eve- Not Met (New goal: Jan. 30)
200 by Feb. 20th

224.2- Severely Obese (OUCH!)
209.7- Moderately Obese

Can someone help me with Weight Watchers?
can someone please tell me how Weight Watchers is working these days? I know they change all the time....

I am not having any luck with my own diet so I want to give WW a try, but as of right now I can't afford to join. I know it's an investment in my health, but right now, I just can't so....

Can someone please hook me up with what I need to eat points wise and remind me how the POints system works? It used to be back in the day that it was based off of your weight.

Currently, I am 5'5; 226 pounds and NEED help. I'm just so heartbroken that I had lost 30 pounds and now I've gained 11 back and can't seem to start losing again.

Anyone that can help me, I greatly appreciate it!

The fat version of an eating disorder
Thanks everyone. I plan on eating more fat and protein and think I will shoot for 1800 calories. And yes kokusho, I already stated in my post that I ate obviously didn't eat right to get to this point so....I hear the darn bacon. Fact is, I love bacon and sausage and meat of all kinds. I'm also going to reread my atkins book because I want to see what he says percentage wise, etc. Thanks everyone-I'm going to go eat some sausage now. Oh and do I add it(calories) in slow or just do it?

The fat version of an eating disorder
So, I really think of myself as the fat version of an eating disorder. Yes, obviously I ate incorrectly and didn't exercise to get to the weight I am. I'm discovering something about myself-I take things to the extreme. Thankfully I don't purge or anything that extreme but everything in my life becomes an obsession. I also have a problem with OCD thoughts. But anyhow, I'm rambling. I guess my reason to post is just to vent because I tend to find myself in fear. I'm afraid to eat too much.....I'm afraid to eat too little. My mentality is just really messed up from years of self abuse. I started out on another site at 1400 calories and teeter tottered back and forth on the scale. But, I also found out I wasn't doing Atkins correctly. I came here to FS at 1300 but quickly lowered RDI to 1100 calories. I keep reading how I should be higher according to other posts and I'm just tired cause it usually makes me sick to eat that much food. I don't mean to sound rude because I'm not trying to be-I just don't know how to eat 1800 calories in a day. Right now I'm losing more than a pound a day. Of course the sick me wonders- will I lose more if I up the calories or will I gain? God this really is an illness to me. I'm trying to fight all the voices in my head and do this in a healthy manner. I checked the RDI on this site and at low exercise it wanted me to eat 2200! That just seems outrageous to me. Anyhow, I hope I can find some support on here because I feel alone in my world and am tired of this mentality I have.
