29 net carbs today.. that's the highest this week so far but i knew today was gonna suck. The kid made dinner and served everyone and severed about a cup of mac and cheese on my plate. I took one spoonful and then put it in a tupper for some one to eat later but that one bite had 6 net carbs. And its gonna make tomorrow just as hard as today or worse.And then I had to have a spoonful of peanut butter for the sweet tooth bc I couldnt take it.Hey,it could be worse..it could be 99 net carbs not 29. And I did log it so meh. I had a sh!t day bc Im tired and have allergies and low carb flu and my head felt like a boulder on my shoulders all day and then poof ! one bite of mac and the headache is gone.. that's gonna haunt me tomorrow Im sure. But I refuse to admit defeat. I will not be taken out by some shells and cheese, no sir. I will not go quietly into the night..curse you mac and cheese, your my sworn enemy! If an effort to redeem myself I plan to try and stay at 20 net tomorrow and work up a storm at the gym. I am redgirl! Hear me roar !!

Know how disgusting it feels to see carbs rise so quickly over some food that you really didn't want in the first place...taking a bite to just be nice sometimes just plain sucks!!! Today is a new day... When I have the need for a sugar fix, I have a sugar free jello snack pak with whipped cream...seems to satisfy my sweet tooth and is very low in carbs...are you making fat bombs? They usually satisfy my after meal need for a bite of something sweet. Thinking of you today....

Got to have some carbs anyway. My wife says they are good for you and give you energy. Look at it. That way. Best of scale luck!

Fat bombs are my best friend! It helps my cravings and the fat gives me more energy.

My wife's supervisor sent a dozen home-made cinnamon rolls home with her from work yesterday. These things were big enough to take up a whole styrofoam container and drizzled in the most decadent cream frosting you could imagine, they made Cinnabon look pathetic. I felt obligated to eat about half of them from 8pm until around 5am this morning. And that's why I stay away from sugar and carbs. I'll be fasting until November to make up for the lunacy I engaged in last night and this morning.

@Red: I think you pointed out a big thing about the kids cooking. It's definitely an opportunity to teach them how to chop up salads or to just make nutritious meals for themselves (and their eventual families) without leaning on food that will make them fat, too.

I went a year without eating junk that's constantly been in the house, I'm not the only one that lives here. Junk or not, I take responsibility for being in control, or like last night and this morning, letting myself do something stupid.

Honestly, even eating 100 net a day we are probably eating less than we used to. Keep up the great work!

THANKS GWEN , I just stocked up on the jello today .. I need to. LOL wont get caught with my pants down again hahaha and the kid knows how to cook healthy, he's been on the path with me for the last two years now. The mac was a cheat on his part bc he counts calories and is even on FS just no buddies bc he only uses it to log his food. I never buy the crap. It came free with a meal deal at the store and I let this kid make it.. BUT great points.. this was a excellent "teachable moment" to remind him of how far we have come.
