BuffyBear's Journal, 18 October 2011

I wore my favorite capris this morning - the ones that make me look just a little slimmer than I really am. Will pack them away this weekend. Almost a little sad to think that when they emerge next spring they will be too big and I'll never get to wear them again.

But I'll get over it because I'll be out shopping for size 10's!

Smerrill - I appreciate you visiting. Wish I could do more - I know how hard it is when you have family emergencies - you have to take care of the important things first and that is the way it should be.

Buffy not being able to wear your favorite capri's only because they will be "TOO BIG" next year, How exciting !!!!!

GG - Great minds think alike.

Notfast - It is a goal - you may come back to your summer home to find all your summer clothes are too big also!

Well a new era is about to start...as the summer rolls around again you will have to give up those slimming capri's..just think they may make some one else very happy one day...and you can get new ones to replace them...Awesome!!!!!!...☺

Capris and flip flops are you girls kidding me? I have already wore my thermal underwear once. Can I come and live with you?
18 Oct 11 by member: edsontrace
Bren - Yes, I feel good when I can "recycle" my clothes. There are lots of places around here where I can drop them off and know they may find their way to a good home.

Nonna - You are too sweet - and I sure hope you are right!

Edsontrace - I feel your pain. I came from "the land of the ice and snow" on the Canadian border before moving to NC. It was 80 here today - what more can I say?

I went to NC once for Thanksgiving. Arrived the week before with snow and ice and by Thanksgiving we had 85. What a day! Buffy, great that you can put your Capri's away. It will be fun going shopping next spring and maybe even a 10 will be too big :-)

Love this post Buffy. This time around (which started May, 2010) I started throwing the old stuff out (well, actually donating it but you get the gist.) I have never done that before. I have always held onto everything in the past. Like I know I will end up wearing them again. Not doing that any more.

Jozette - So you can see why I love it here? You just made me think about something else - I have no idea what size I'll be at the end of my journey. I know I can be a 10, but wonder if I'd ever be an 8? Guess there is only one way to find out.

Karen - Great attitude - it is part of the mental adjustment - why leave room for doubt.
