newnormal's Journal, 28 January 2016

I was hoping for more but glad I didn't gain with the glass of wine I had last night. Everything else was on point yesterday food-wise but I know this is still correction from the trip last week.

I have 28 days until my Dad gets here to lose another 6.8 lbs (my goal before he gets here to surprise him). As long as I don't have to travel, I think I can do it lol. I wish it would dry up a bit but I have to get out today no matter what. Haven't walked any stretch in over a week and it's only getting easier to stay home. I'll do some mini-walks through the neighborhood at least. If it brightens up later, I may do a 45 minute loop which is a really pretty piece through a different neighborhood (with a plus that once I start it, it's just as long to finish it as it is to go back early).

I'm still a little in that funk. I'm beginning to wonder if the weather is playing a part in this between the cold and wet for the last week. I know other people are dealing with this too but I never thought it affects me. I'll have to pay attention to that and see if that's what's going on.

I want my kickass feeling back.

I hope your day is full of sunshine buddies...

Weather and being cooped up because of it can definitely cause a funk. Doing something active to get out of it that's positive and will give you a sense of achievement, like you mentioned doing, should help....always helps me when I'm in that type of thing. Hang in there, continued success is yours to take and make your own. :)

You're doing great! Yes, the weather can put folks in that "funk". We just got about a foot of snow in the last 12 hours, so, I get what you mean. My remedy is about 20,000 mg of Vit D; a couple St. John's Wort capsules, and a 10-15 minute stint at the fake-bake (tanning salon) once or twice a week. As corny as it sounds, those few minutes of tanning seem to "remind" my body of what sun feels like, and I'm good to go. Its incredibly energizing. Anyways, hang in there, and keep up the fantastic job!!!! =)

Wine will not make you gain weight...it will just stall your weight loss process for a bit..

You can be thankful then that you're not on the East Coast with all of the snow
