skwhite's Journal, 15 January 2016

Yesterday at school I was trying to show the kiddo's how to gallop and one of them galloped right in front of me and down we both went. I was almost down when I realized I was going to land on him. All I could think was that I would hurt him. I managed to avoid landing on him. He's fine, I am really sore and have bruises on my hands and knees. While I was at work it started snowing and sticking so after I got home I realized I wasn't going to be able to drive up my 15% grade driveway so I backed down, got everything out including a gallon of milk and hiked up the hill. A gallon of milk weighs 8 pounds. I felt like I was doing a biggest loser challenge, hehe. So instead of working out I sat on the couch with heating pads. I am hoping to get in a light workout tonight, depending on how sore I am at the end of the day.

I hope you aren't hurt too bad, aches and pains usually are worse the day after a fall.

That's like the little lady who runs our local food bank. We did inventory Monday, and she was sitting in a chair handing the cans to the guys to place on the different shelves according to item. When we were almost through she say, "Guys, I am extremely tired, and all I've done was sit here." I told her each can weighed approximately one pound, so while sitting, she lifted over 300 pounds! She said, "I never thought of that!"

@Tamarah Jo, I describe skipping as a step hop step hop, etc. I describe galloping as one foot always stays in front and you bring the other to the heel. It is similar to skipping.

Thanks for clearing up "galloping." My thoughts went to Where do kids go to school and ride horses? Also I am relieved that your fall was not from the back of a horse and flying hooves. I hope you feel better soon
