Yesterday was a sad day, our little fluffy boy Barney went to the Rainbow bridge, to play with all of the others that had passed away before him. I still don't know what happened. It was just so fast. He was fine on Thursday evening, and the hubby said he was ok in the morning.
I found him laying by the dining room window, too weak to move. I didn't have the car, so I couldn't get him to the vet. I called the hubbs to let him know that Barn was sick, and he said he would be home in about an hour, he was on a job he couldn't leave. I said I think he'll be ok until then.
But Barney had other plans, and left before we could get him to the vet.
I'm going to miss him. So, there was a little emotional eating involved, as after we interred Barn in the back yard, we went out to Cracker Barrel. We both were a little subdued at dinner, but we both know what it is to be a Cat parent.
I'm heading out today to the craft store, as I need a few balls of yarn, and think I'll look for something to make for the kids out back in the garden.
