End of Month Musings: Only lost 3 pounds this month. Considering everything that went on (DH in hospital, snow storms, & short month) could have been worse.

Looking ahead to March: March has 5 Mondays (weigh in days). So there is no reason why I can't lose 5 pounds in March. I want to say 10 pounds, but got to keep it real.

Anyone else got any March goals?

I think you did great, especially under the circumstances. If I could lose 3 pounds in March, I'd be thrilled. So I guess I'll make that my goal! Or maybe 4, if I keep in mind Browning's (reworded) line: "One's reach must exceed one's grasp."

Hmm I was thinking 10 pounds but I am not feeling that brave today. Maybe 8. I think you did great. I had a few months last year when the scale didna move at all.

You did great with all that was going on. I lost 22 this month, but it's the same 2 I've been losing all year. Dang!

Over a month, which is extended time, you went down 3 lbs. Good stuff, and that's the kind of stuff that in the long run helps you continue and maintain a better lifestyle.

Dhoza - 2 or 22? Glad I'm not the only one with fat fingers on here.

March will be another month of working my high fat, low carb goals. Would like to get down six pounds more...but it is OK whatever happens. I just want to build more muscle and lose body fat.

3 lbs is almost a pound per week!!! You did a FANTASTIC job in Feb. Sincere best wishes for you to meet your March goal. (and 6 OR 8 is ambitious) :)

3 pounds is down! Good job getting back on track. You have had a stressful month so you are doing great. Slow is good as better chance of keeping it off.

Be proud of the 3 lbs you have lost. I think you are doing excellent. You probably will lose 10 lbs next month. Have faith and it will happen.

Pat yourself on the back for 3# loss. I'm shooting for 2 pounds per week, 1.5 as a fallback. Doesn't happen every week, but the last day of the month is the important one for me.

Success - Yes, for me I'd better be happy with 5. Will catch you later.

Joannecarlin - Hope your scale gets turned around next month.

Carol - 2 (or 1.5) pounds/week is very realistic. Good luck. You'll be rocking that spring wardrobe.
