jmb3450's Journal, 31 October 2014

Up a pound from last Friday, but what I was expecting - it seems I've hit a plateau. No worries about it, I'm happy with my progress and have been getting compliments on my appearance almost daily which sure helps with continued motivation. There's a couple of hurdles for this weekend to plan for, the first being tonight with Halloween candy. I probably bought too much of it so we'll be generous in giving it out to the kids, hoping to run out so nothing's left. I'm going to pick up a small bar of extra dark chocolate so if (I should say when) I'm tempted too much I can have a small piece of it. Saturday is dinner and a movie with my wife, I'll either fast or eat very lightly prior to going out.

Last night was great, my daughter came over with 2 of our grandsons, my wife did final adjustments to the oompa loompa costume she made for 1 1/2 year old Ryder, then we got to town just in time for the kids to walk in the Halloween parade. I'll have to upload a picture once I get it off the camera.

Friday at last, and no school here today so I can hopefully get some stuff done at work I've been putting off. Hope everyone has a great day.

You should be proud ... 1 pound ain't nothing but a thing. Boy I will say there are tough hurdles this weekend ... a treat or two won't hurt us. Love that your grandkids went as oompa loompa's ... they were frightening to me when i was young. classic. happy halloween! have a great weekend.

Your graph shows that you are doing something right! One bump is nothing to worry about...just get back on your plan and do your best to stick to it. A slip once in a while is no big deal, as over the course of a year you will still get there. Stick with it buddy! Happy Halloween.

Thanks guys, much appreciated. One more challenge this weekend I'd forgotten about, getting together with my brother Sunday to taste some fall specialty beers he's gotten, and I have a bourbon barrel aged ale I've been waiting on opening until he can help me drink it, (it's a big bottle), a porter I made, and a Belgian Kriek also. Yikes...looking forward to it but it'll probably mean some low calorie/fasting days this coming week to make up for the extra calories and carbs.

Ya know, whenever I plateau I add a bunch of extra fiber...seems to break it for me, just an idea ;)

Socolova....maybe I can find a beer with extra fiber for Sunday??? :) Seriously, I do need to work on getting in more fiber, thanks for the tip.

If you find fiber beer you better share ;) I don't know if you know anyone who sells Arbonne but they have a tasteless fiber powder that adds 12 grams, I put it in my morning protein shake....that's half your day's worth right there ;) I'm sure there are other things like that at the store too...

You got through the week without a big spike, that's a victory. Enjoy your weekend, and you can get back to your plan on Monday. Your history shows you can handle it. Happy Halloween and enjoy the grandkids.
