Well, well, well. 3am we meet again. What in the world is going on here? Do I need to set a video recorder and see if Mushy is shaking me awake and then fake snoring when I do get up? Hmmm…

Not to worry though. I’d had a turkey thawing in the fridge since Sunday and decided to get up and roast it. I know.. a month early. That’s fine. I doubt I’ll have any left over at Thanksgiving as I did phone the city folks and invite all those (police, sheriff, and fire) to stop by and eat that day. Plus B’s family aka The Hoovers.

The advice and reminders yesterday were perfect. I HAD been practicing the ‘don’t take it personal’ mantra for a long time so this recent culmination of feeling slighted and angry was indeed a huge slip off the wagon.



I do need to be more assertive and less passive - aggressive about my life especially where Blondie’s concerned. Excellent timing for this as well as we slide into the busy holidays.

And I do need to eat mindfully, just for today. Then do it again tomorrow. Massage this afternoon - am going to ask her to do a really deep tissue on the legs with hopes for relief from the RLS.

I hate those early morning wake ups..I have a turkey breast to thaw out..just waiting til it is cold enough to make all the fixings to go with as it helps to warm the place up...I also need to get some rolls..for the gravy...Have a great day...Love and Hugs...

Since I gave up coffee a week and a half ago, no wake ups at night (no hot flashes either). Out like a light at 10pm and up at 7h. one trip to the commode and that's it. Try it, may be the solution to your problem.

Love your pics! I have to send the one about mascara to my daughter :) She asked me last weekend if mine was running or did I just rub my eyes. I, of course, would not give up coffee. Has more benefits than negatives. Also, keeps me from eating so much. It is good to switch to tea in the late afternoons and evening. Also a lot of health benefits to teas. Chamomile tea is reputed to help with sleep. I think it does help me.

Angel, I love that you're praying with me... I'll include one to help you get a good night sleep. I'm so out-of-sorts when I'm sleep deprived, and so easily overeat then as fatigue convinces me it's really hunger. Hope your massage is wonderful, and maybe a chance then or after for a nap too?!? xoxox

Getting up so early can be a drag. You know I found a cure for it.. Every since I started having a shot of Glen Livet Scotch before bed I have been sleeping through the night. lol Try it you'll like it Bella!!

Thanks all - yeah, I get that same exercise daily. Who knew I was so active! Just to pass the time I also made individual mini cherry cobblers for B's crew. They were pretty good (they said). I'm beginning to think I need to go get a part time job cooking in a restaurant. I don't want to own & run one myself - they lose too much money. I would just enjoy cooking the food.

The guy who delivered the newspaper would pull into my neighbor's driveway and throw the paper on the porch at 3 am. I used to wake up and look at the clock. One day I looked out the window to see what was waking me up. After that I would still wake up, but close my eyes and go back to sleep.

Where I live now, a truck hits a bump in the street and makes a big clanging noise at 3:30 am. lol

Oh I hope the massage helps the RLS. Myself I slept a little better last night. Really looking forward to tonight. Hope I don't jinx myself! I'm right there with you with the mindfulness, assertiveness, and "don't take it personally" mantra! May your day be filled with sunshine in your heart! Oh and don't worry about missing my journals. I was MIA for SO long! I'm amazed any of my buddies still talk to me!

Well, the massage has actually helped; either that or the muscle relaxers? I had tried to give them up, usually fail and take them when I can't stop kicking. But I've had two really decent nights of sleep and i'll take them even if it means chemical help because I fail far too many other areas of my life when I don't get enough sleep.
