bigbassbrent's Journal, 09 April 2014

Despite waking up with the same 3 day headache, I still did it! I got back into my routine and worked out this morning. 40 minutes worth of deadlifts, squats, lunges, shrugs and abs. I am freaking exhausted now but it feels kinda good in a weird way. I should be super sore in a few days. It’s been over 2 weeks since I last lifted. I'm not sure that I look forward to that part. I usually hobble around like a 90 year old lady after a hard leg day. Which reminds me, I was at the ATM the other day and there was this little old lady in front of me fumbling with the machine for like 5 minutes. She finally turned around and asked me if I could help check her balance. I pushed her and she immediately fell. Not very good balance if you ask me!!!!! (Just kidding! It's a joke!) Have a great day everyone.

Hey Sonny - don't be pushing us little old ladies around - some of us carry, you know! LOL. I always sound like I'm walking on bubble wrap when I first get up in the morning. It's like my body has an alarm system going on ... 'she's up, she's up'.

Had to comment on ur post when I saw ur pic with that beautiful fish! Excellent! My hubby and I are going fishing today and I hope to catch one as nice as the one u caught. One for the sport of it and some great protein to have for dinner tonight. I hear ya, working out does have it's rewards but boy does it come with a price at times. Keep it up though sounds like ur right on track. Lol the lil old lady at the ATM! I needed to smile this morning....thanks. Just for the record, I adore lil old ladies but it was funny.

Good luck fishing today Dylansmom! It’s a great time of year to really catch some nice ones! Please come back and let me know how yall did! For the record, I love little old ladies. I am the guy that goes out of my way to help them whenever I can. I just couldn’t resist telling that joke! I am known as the “joke man” amongst friends.

Haha!! Your bass picture gives me the itch to go fishing, water here needs to get a little warmer though.

Sure will bigbass. Fishing is my most favorite past time and the way I c it is, just getting the pole in the water, even without a catch is awesome. Shinckley- I know what u mean....I'm in Colorado so it's just now warming up here. We went fishing last weekend and didn't catch a thing. But still had fun anyway. Hope u can get out and do it soon though as there is nothing else like it IMO.

Oh the stares I just got for bursting out laughing at your joke. People already think I’m a little nuts so thanks :) Way to go with getting back into your routine.

Chica, after the green faced walk you took yesterday, I think your a little nuts too! In a good way of course! ;)

If you're getting like that, you definitely need to get out fishing more often. Steelhead in about four months. :)

Four months!?!!! I'll be sitting in the A/C sipping iced tea in four months!!! It will be over 100 degrees here by then!

Don't have AC. Then again, I have a woodstove, which you probably don't have. I'll we weeks away from moose season. Yum. Low fat - low cholesterol, and all the exercise that goes with packing a thousand pound animal out of a swamp. Booyaah!!!

We actually have a small wood stove too, but it for heating the garage. We dont have central heat in our house though. Just space heaters. I want to see pics of you packing that moose on your back! After all, that’s what all this weight lifting is for, right? Real life applications? :)
09 Apr 14 by member: bigbassbrent
Absolutely. Few are the moose hunters who compete with you for the moose that's standing more than 50 yards from a road. Of course you understand I pack it out chunk by chunk, not in one shot. I'm not Paul Bunyan (though I have his shirt and some of his chest hair).

Still would be great to see a pic with the whole moose on your back. How much can you squat again? :-P
