I was out all day today with shopping and errands. When we got home there were two packages waiting on the front steps from the UPS man. One package was some new boots I ordered for myself (winter is upon us and I needed new boots to trudge around on the wet/cold sidewalks and parking lots) The other box was from ImLuuvd!! It had a dolphin statue in it that matches my bathroom perfectly!! I needed something for the area next to the sink and ImLuuvd had one of those dolphin statues in her new bathroom... so I mentioned to her how much I liked it and that it would go nicely in MY bathroom. So she went out and got one for me and it arrived today!!! She also sent me lovely size 10 top for summer that is adorable!! Hubby liked it a lot too, more colorful than things I normally use to wear. Now that I am a size 10 again Im finding that I like more color and even ...stripes!! so it was a nice day to come home exhausted and discover presents waiting for me!

on the diet/exercise front... diet is going well, Im keeping control this week. Haven't seen a change on the scale yet but it should happen by Friday... at least I am hoping so.

Exercise... WOW!! My cruise challenge ship-mates are so eager to exercise this week that it is bringing out my competative nature and so I have to keep up!! Take one for the team... so I am exercising in a "new" way (pilates) every day this week. That's not what I would normally do at all. I still like doing my treadmill but I am discovering that I also like this pilates. I think when the challenge is over that I will do the pilates in-between my treadmill walking. I also think I will take at least one day a week off...maybe two. three walking and two pilates. Of course the pilates is also something I can do on the floor in the evenings while watching tv.

I sure am going to be disappointed if I don't get a weight loss soon... at least by Friday. All this work deserves something.

What a wonderful surprise. I love to hear that someone received a present, it makes me feel good. You are so fortunate to have such a terrific daughter. She is always thinking of you and loves you very much. Enjoy the dolphin statue, new top and new boots. Looks like Christmas came early for you. Great job on that pilates. I think you’ll find that pilates toning really makes a difference and keeps you flexible, which is so important as we get older.

How fun to come home to packages! I'm sure the scale will be nice to you by Friday. If not, just know YOU are being nice to you, and the scale will follow soon. You are doing great!

The pilates are great for the "jiggles." One wouldn't think that she could become "winded" just stretching a plastic "toning band" but even that ten-minute routine really helps. I tried doing the pilates ten-minute tape EVERY day for a week. I did become a bit bored. The "Fat Secret" is to "mix it up." I understand about the competitive drive. Ha! I am terrible at basketball but something makes me want to kick "Shorty Shaq's" butt! I believe Little Shaq is your baby girl! Ha!

Be patient with yourself and your hard working body. ;) You're doing wonderfully and what a nice surprise to have TWO fun packages on your doorstep! :) Keep on rockin' it up momma! :)

I am with you. I have excercised more this week then probably my whole adult life and the scale asn't moved an ounce. Don't you just love presents. It sounds like you got some good ones. Well keep up the good work ship mate and if you don't lose this week at least you gained a new talent. LOL

ok, I spoke too soon about the pilates not bothering me. Today I am feeling a little sore in places. Yes,Cobra Fan... ImLuuvd is my baby girl and we can get kinda silly. We like silly!

Pilates Paralysis!!!! Oh I have empathy for you. And yet it is so good for your posture and elongates the muscles. It taught me how to walk like a model and not a duck. Glad you are sticking with it. I gained a half inch in height too-so check that out after a bit. I hope you get your loss by Friday too-we need it to keep our Golden glow. I am working hard too. If we don't get the loss this week-we will certainly see it by the next week or the week after that....
