Cranberries are first picked dry. These are used for making cranberry raisins and sold as whole berries in the market.

Then the field is flooded and they float to the top and they harvest again. These are used to make juice, jelly, etc. Almost all the cranberries grown in Cape Cod are sold to Ocean Spray.

Then off to market

Wow!! Such cool pics you always have to share... thanks so much for sharing! =D MMmmm... crasins!! *slurp* I love to make my own cranberry sauce for the holidays by boiling water, adding cranberries, orange zest, a touch of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove, YUM. Keep them pics a comin'! :)

That is so beautiful. Look at the fall colors in the back ground. I really miss the fall colors living so far south. Puts me in the mood for some cranapple juice. Thanks for sharing.

I also had no idea!! neither did hubby! We just always saw the commercials of them in water, so I thought they grew that way.
BTW... that monkey swinging from you cabin looks very familiar. I think he escaped from my cabin and has been wandering ever since! LOL

This is awesome! I am pretty much a desert rat, living almost my entire life in Arizona. We have great sunsets, but I always admire your pictures from other places! Thank you for sharing.
