BuffyBear's Journal, 10 August 2013

Being that this is a life long journey - you're in it for the long haul! Onward and downward, my friend :)

There's truth in your words; however, I'm still a couple of weeks away from getting back on track. Be blessed in all your efforts; it'll come back off.

Shy Guy - I'm presuming you are going back to teaching and are timing this with re-starting healthy eating? Of course you know what they say about presuming - LOL. Wishing you all the best.

I absolutely agree about the bread & am fortunate that it's been an easy thing for me to give up. But, it does make meals more time consuming to make & eat, so i totally get the grab a sandwich and go. Hang in there! As Paula said, we're each on a journey & I'm sure yours will cause that weight loss graph to be heading downward again soon! xoxox

Everyone's right. You are in it for the long haul and as soon as you're back it will be off straightaway. Don't you fret, girl. And know you've been missed. HUGS

Ruth - You've hit the nail right on the head - I've gotten lazy. I need to get up an extra hour in the the morning and get my meal planning & prep work done. A little exercise wouldn't hurt either.

Marty - You are too funny (Yes, I've been a bad, bad girl - LOL). But you are right about that evening eating.

Heather - As always I really appreciate your encouragement!

Buff, that is what helped me put back on weight too... that and pasta.... oh and ice cream. Geez. Just not following the plan. I guess I got pretty busy too outside with all my projects and ate the convenient foods, too. We have to plan and we have to cook. Just begin again, my friend... several of us are doing this. It's all good .... cause you are back!

Mom - Begin again? That is easy for you to say - LOL! But, seriously, something has got to change. Lets do this!

Buffy, you've got it tough, trying to do this WOE and working full-time-plus. I really don't know how you do as well as you do. Cut yourself "a bit" of slack but get right back in the groove. Like M2B said, we have to plan, we have to cook. It's that quick-and-easy grabbing that does us in! Make those changes...you can do this!

I never said it was easy, Miss Buffmeister, but it's doable... and I am still struggling, but trying. If I said you can have a mudslide as your reward for a long hard day at work while you fix your low carb dinner, would that make it all right? LOL!

Sandy - Well said! I've got to break some bad habits, but it can be done. Fortunately, you set such a good example for me!

Pshaw! You are one of our shining examples.... you never give up!

I totally agree with the bread thing! My downfalls: homemade garlic french bread, pasta, and (oddly) baked potatoes. Any and all of those leave me looking--and feeling!--like Humpty Dumpty after his fall! :P Buffy, you were an inspiration when I first added you as a friend, and you're STILL a huge inspiration to me! You never give up on yourself in the long run...and that's a beautiful thing!

Raven - Now, I am sure you do not look like Humpty Dumpty! Hope to be on here more often and look forward to chatting with you. As for the garlic bread - how can something so evil smell so good?

Yes, pshaw indeed. Both of you are shining examples.
