FullaBella's Journal, 04 March 2013

Wow - I'm weary this morning and it's not even 11am! I swear - January felt six months long but February only lasted six days!! So yesterday afternoon was four hours of redoing the store display windows again - seemed like I just did that last week?

Anyway - kind of cool to be able to climb UP on a ladder ~ in the past I had the Gson do that highwire part for me but after a weekend together we needed a break. Bittersweet as I climbed each rung thinking 'wow, couldn't do THIS six months ago' and 'wow, hope I don't fall and break my hip'. I tell ya, whoever said these are the golden years had apparently taken much better care of their body during the copper & silver years.

Crazy hungry this morning ~ not sure where that's coming from but I hope it goes back there. Had my breakfast, vitamins & water. Silly.

I haven't yet worked up the nerve again to try the blended veggie drink after the 'mowed lawn' results last week. Maybe that's what my body is telling me: "Hey Bella, how about get an actual RECIPE today and give it a try ... I need nourishment..."

Good idea. Think I'll try that.

You all have a good day ~ I know it's Monday but it still has possibilities.

Bella

I agree about February flying by - I know it's the shortest month but it really did go by in a flash for me, too. Very cool about the new ladder climbing skills. It's wonderful when your weight loss gives you concrete benefits that you hadn't really expected. My mom always says that it's not "the golden years" but rather "the rusty years". LOL. There must be a gazillion recipes on the internet for smoothies and I'm sure you can suss them out with your desired ingredients as well. Good luck!

Lol...mowed lawn...too funny. I put a cup of spinach in my protein shake and in the beginning I thought it was disgusting...and now it s still pretty disgusting but I ve grown to tolerate them better. Feb flew by. Let me know if you find a good recipe : )

Hi Bella, missed this journal entry yesterday, yikes take care on that ladder. Golden years - yeah, right, not for the faint of heart, are they? sorry you were hungry, hope it passed. Some days your body needs more food than others but I am sure you looked inside and examined if it was 'real' or not, you are doing so awesome with this new WOE. Hope you have a great day, and that you find some juicing recipies on line.

hmmm...ya know, I think I'd rather just eat the spinach raw and whole, to be honest! LOL! I hear you about January though, it took FOREVER! I got quite a giggle out of "apparently taken much better care of their body during the copper and silver years"

Another milestone in the amazing Bella journey... this time up a ladder! Good for you! It's easy to take these things for granted, so I especially love hearing about them through your eyes in your insightful, humorous words! Hope the new blender recipes work out & curb the deadly hunger monster! xoxox

@Evelyn - Rusty years... so True! Things are leaking that shouldn't and when I first get up in the morning I sound as if I'm walking on bubble wrap...

@Sazy - thank you for accepting my buddy request and for popping by. I did search recipes last night and picked up some 100% apple juice so I may be on the verge of trying the veggie thing again

@Sharon - the one recipe I found that gave my hope (but cannot confirm yet) was spinach, carrot & kale mixed with apple, blueberries & strawberries. Of course, I was already imagining less fruit and told myself 'now now... want another glass of grass...?' I may try it tonight ~ stay tuned :-)

@Savaticus - thank you ~ I know I need to be careful because they can add up to a lot of calories. I was hoping to get a boatload of veggies in a glass w/o feeling too full as if I'd overeaten. I want nutrients so I can give up the supplements.

@Isabel - okay, I'm finally going to show my naiveness and ask.. what exactly is WOE? I read this on journals all the time but have been timid to query.

@Brenda - actually, it was brown (because of the tomato mixed with the greens) and MH said it looked like poop. Bad poop too because when (and I'm sure you can appreciate this, maybe) when we raised beef cattle and took courses at Ag colleges there was a break-out session on analyzing poop to determine how they were processing their feed (for weight gain, of course) so MH actually said 'it looks like poop, not even the good poop...' LOL

@Colly - I really do like the whole spinach too ~ just trying to increase nutrient quantity without wearing out my teeth and jaws. It's all part of my 'not over eating to feeling full but still getting enough natural vitamins' attempt. Have you seen the movie Joe Cross movie? I just don't really want to 'juice' I want to use the entire veggie.

@Deb - You know, I knew something in my outlook changed (and not for the good) when I'd found myself going 'Ugh, Monday' as I had always felt it was the perfect start to get things 'right'. I'm trying to get back to that feeling.

@Angel - I had to chuckle at myself last night when I read your journal. Here I was bragging about climbing a ladder and you did the 2000 feet up in snowshoes! I imagined you read my journal and snickered 'wimp'. Hey, ladder today ... snowshoes are next!

I am laughing so hard reading some of these that I am in serious danger of wetting myself! I do not have the pelvic muscles I used to have, please post warnings!

@Colly - LOL - sorry! ((Not really)) - glad you enjoy it!
