HCB's Journal, 16 August 2012

Seems like I was MIA yesterday. I woke up tired and had an exercise rest day. I try to rotate around which day I take off during the week.

And today, I was right back at my 50 minute circuit training DVD with JM. (No butt-kicks on that part of the DVD though...but she does do "The Plank")

Food plan is going pretty good as I am staying on track and logging every bite. I seldom go off track but added in a few things earlier in the week that just do not set well with me. I did better the last couple days and feel less bloated and heavy. I weighed and it looks like I am down a tiny bit - so tomorrow I weigh in for my challenge and will see where I am then.

My husband finally went back to work today after his bicycle accident. He has a pretty good purple/black eye from where he hit - and will get stitches removed next week.

Today I am grateful for:

- My FS Buddies who support and encourage me to continue
- "Butt-kicking" myself to a smaller size today
- My DH - and his quick recovery from his cycling accident
- My Bengal cat companions named Bodhi and Ravi
- My work - which has meaning and worth to other human beings
- My connection to the Mother Earth and all its splendor
- My physical health

Circuit training can be a great workout. I used to hate doing the plank! At first I could only manage it from my knees and might have made it to 30 seconds, if that. It's so rewarding to see the progress you make from week to week, month to month, and year to year. How long have you been doing the JM DVD? I'm sure you are seeing improvements, too. Good luck with your challenge weigh in tomorrow. It sounds like you have things under control so I'm hoping you get good results!

I find there are certain foods I use to love that now don't agree with me. Probable a good thing as they tend to be the high calorie junk food type.

Good idea to listen to your body, and move the rest day when that is what you need. Is the plank getting any easier??

You still sound like you are doing great! Really sticking with things! You are very strict with your food, which is admirable. Sometimes I wonder if I added or changed things whether it would sit well with me. Like I have about 4 BLTs a week - turkey bacon. I can't imagine if they were pork bacon BLTs.
