I'm kind of sick of talking about this. I think I will just try to support everyone and stop complaining about my situation. I know what I have to do, I just need to do it and quit binge eating for whatever the excuse of the day is. This last weekend it was Mother's Day so I missed my Mom (only been a year) and I ate all day. I pouted and didn't take care of myself. Something can happen almost every day so eventually you just have to decide to deal with it and quit feeding your face instead.

Anyway, put your best foot forward and do your best! Have a good day everyone!

You can do this. Your words of encouragement have helped me personally, and though we all fall short sometimes, we can draw on the encouragement of others to help us through. Put the recent slips behind you and start anew. You can do this!

Be encouraged Sis. Don't let life get you down. Do the best you can on your good days and on your not so good ones do what you can. It truly is mind over matter. Sending strength your way for you to make the best choices for you! Take care and DON'T GIVE UP! You can do this-you know you can!

Well that's true sweetie but for some reason you have convinced yourself that food comforts you the best so you turn to it...maybe you can reward yourself or console yourself in another way ...please don't be so hard on yourself ..you are a great person my friend you just got to figure out a way to do some things differently....my love and huge hugs to you and may it get easier for you so you can feel better xoxoxo;)

Everyone has their bad days, love!! You can do this. I know how hard that is. Every year on Fathers day, my heart breaks all day. I am 35, its been 21 years, and I cry every year. Stand tall, face the demons you can face, and you will gain the strength to face the ones you think you cant!! Until you can, call on us, we will help you!!

You have done so well! Don’t give up. It is true that we can find a reason every day to binge and not take care of ourselves...you have to choose to love yourself more than the comfort of food. Like maxie said, find something else to comfort/reward yourself with. You can do this!! I believe in you ❤️

Don't beat yourself up. We're all floatin' in the same boat. Everyday is a fresh start. Keep pushing.

Hang in there, ny-shelly. Don't be so hard on yourself. It is very difficult when we lose our moms. I know when i miss my mom it usually means i will be cooking and eating foods that remind me of her. I do see what you mean about there always being an occasion or excuse, but for me, i have found it to be less and less effective to punish myself and talk negatively to myself as a motivator.

It's okay to vent, it is okay if it is the same complaint over and over again (in my opinion). If you were a heroine addict trying to get clean you would be going through the same steps. Talking about your issues, maybe relapsing for the same reason tot stated and then trying to get clean again. All the while seeking the support of others who are aware of what you are going through. Do what helps you to succeed, just don't do heroine. lol

It's okay. The are good days and bad days. It feels better that we are talking to a real human being rather than Siri or other AI robots. Sometimes all you need do is to calm your mind and let it go. You can do it, I'm sure.

*There, sorry for the typo.

We all have bad days. I just really get irritated with myself when I develop the attitude that I don't care about what I eat. Just eat like it does not matter.

I can't put my thoughts into words right now but you aren't alone and you can get through this. I was wondering if your boyfriend knows about the binges and would it be possible to work something out with him or someone else to do something when one comes on. Every other addiction has sponsors and someone to call when they're about to 'use'.

🤗 you’re not alone but you have to think it through to beat it. Wishing you well

Missing a beloved family member is always tough no matter how long ago it has been. They would want what is best for you and taking care of yourself probably is on the top of their list. There is a lot of great advice in the previous comments. Take care of yourself so you can be with the ones you love that are still here and for yourself. ((Hugs))

I JUST stopped binge eating today. JUST. I scared myself with how much food I was eating and not feeling full. It was like quitting smoking. I wanted to quit for the longest time before I finally had enough. Not sure what made today different. Hey, I'm sorry you lost your mom. A year is not far out from such a devastating loss. Adult Children without Mothers is not a club you want to join, and most of us get stuck in it eventually. I lost my mom 25 years ago, and still I feel her with me. I feel grateful I was raised by a loving mother. So many people still pine for a mother's love, and have to meet that need in other ways. If your mother loved you and you always knew that, you have strength and self love/self acceptance inside you. You are going to be okay.
