Doing a little better today digestion-wise, but then I took a bad fall on the ice at lunchtime, and I'm a little concerned and very discouraged. I fell on my bad arm, which I have never done before, and I think I did something to my shoulder -- now I'm having trouble lifting my arm properly. I may have to go have an x-ray, and of course, since my new insurance just started, I have to pay the whole amount because I haven't met the deductible yet. Yup -- a new deductible for 3mos. Then another new deductible for 1 mo. on January 1, because of February 1 I start Medicare. Please everyone send positive vibes that my arm is fine. I'm very nervous about it -- not only because of the money, but because my surgeon is likely to be furious with me for messing up his brilliant repair of my arm when I broke it 10 years ago. Oy vey.

I hope everything is ok with your arm. Sorry you hurt it. Take care.

Thanks -- I'm sorry too. It's already held together with metal and bone graft, which is supposed to make it better than new, and I've not had any trouble with it. Now I can't lift it properly, which suggests I messed up the shoulder. Let's all keep our fingers crossed that it's a sprain and it will go away!

I have a neck that is held together with wire and bone graft so I know the fear of hurting something that has been surgically repaired. Hope it is a sprain. My prayers are with you

Was it on ice you can sue over? I see an MRI in your future.

thanks for all the support ... I wish I felt more optimistic, but I am really afraid I'm in for more surgery on my bionic arm... and no I can't sue because I went ice skating, and if you ice skate you fall... and no I can't have an MRI because neither my surgeon nor my rheumatologist think it's a good idea with all the metal that's already in there. So they'll xray it and then if they need to look more closely it's off for a CT. I am so distraught over this.

I'm sorry, HM. I really feel badly for you. Feeling worried won't make anything better, and could make things worse. If you start a Go Fund Me, send me a PM.

Ice it. There are several muscles in the shoulder , when stained or torn that can impede lifting and moving the arm. I hope you are better today
