Hello My Fat Secret Peeps!

I saw a post on someone contemplating taking Jillian Michaels Diet Pills. So I did a 2 second google search to locate the ingredients, which did not come up at all on the first page- maybe they were deeper. But I found them on a Nutritionalist's web-site, and after reading the articles, I really think this is more "pedaling broken dreams".

Not that they never help some people, they probably do. What i have seen with diet pills is people getting enthused when they get it, staying on the diet, claiming it was the pills and in reality, they just had new hope and did it. On the worst end, is health and heart problems. I chucked out miracle diet pills forever when I chucked out my huge collection of diet books I WOULD NEVER USE AGAIN. Once the dieter loses the enthusiasm and goes off of the diet, they lose interest in the miracle pill as well. They drift off their diets for the same reasons we all do. A pill will NOT make you stay on a diet. Staying on a diet takes, well, practice! And you will have ups and downs- we all do. The name of the site is www.nutritionplugged.com

http://www.nutritionunplugged.com/2010/02/update-jillian-michaels-faces-third-lawsuit-over-her-fat-burning-pills/

The link will open to the second article of the two, which basically reviews a lawsuit against Jillian. In red copy, you will see the author noted that the first article is on this site. Hit the red type and you will go to her first article. Here you will find the entire ingredient list for each of her pills as well as the nutritionalist's opinion.

I do not want to be judgmental. If you are taking these and it is working with NO health side effects, than power to you! I always maintain, that the plan that works IS the correct plan!

Sometimes the side effects show up in the long run too!

I actually have been taking them for about a week. I have no jitters just feel very alert and energized. Motivation has to come from you, not a pill. People who decide to sue Jillian Michaels for her supplements are people who either #1 want to take the pill and sit on their butts not doing anything and eating like there is no tomorrow and expect result. doesn't work that way. it clearly states on the label several different times that it MUST be combined with healthy eating and exercise and results will vary. #2 they have underlying health issues and shouldn't be taking them to begin with. I drink very strong coffee everyday and have stopped because I don't feel like I need extra caffeine mixed with the pills. Using these as a "magical" pill does nothing for you. I do not believe in relying on pills or things of that nature to get healthy and lose weight. I do however think that for someone who has been doing all the right things eating and working out and needs a boost to push them along its ok. No plans in taking them long term but I like the results so far.

Agreed. Not every diet pill works for everyone, and the lawsuits were pretty small, and quite thin on the info. None of them were for heart damage or anything like that. You have a great attitude, that is when "helpers" work- as a tool. Just like this site is a tool. I have not taken any diet supplements in a while, but usually, I feel very alert, as you are noting. You hit it on the head, diet pills with no input on your part will never melt off fat. If that was available, they would cost 80,000 a dose! Glad it helps you- that is what counts. They were far cheaper than most diet pills, that is a BIG plus in my book.

in the past I have tried diet pills and all kinds of things that promise weight loss. this is what is different about my journey this time....my mind set! weight loss is all a mental battle and a learning process of re training old habits and making new habits for a lifetime of success. no pill can change someone's thought process. I defiantly worry about side effects and being safe I did a lot of research on this product and found mostly good reviews. I was worried about jitters or feeling nausea but none of that. I love Jillian even thou it is all about money I think she is smart and truly cares about people and their health!

Jillian is REALLY popular! There is no such thing as something that works for everyone or something that does indeed harm someone-even if not permanently. That is the uniqueness of people. I think these kind of pills have been on the market a very long time, and have never been outlawed. I would not worry about it either. I may be done with those things, but I am not everyone! I always fade interest in them, so I stopped trying. I agree about the mindset. That is REALLY important! This is the easiest diet I have EVER been on. I just log and track my food and try and be in calorie deficit. I just got a FitBit Flex and I love it. Cheers!

Jillian's DVDs rock though...great stuff and some of the earlier ones (Called "Fronts and Backs) are easy to modify to any fitness level. Pills...not so much. There is no miracle. I take lots of vitamin/herbal stuff bit know exactly what is in everything!

It's all physiological

I have real issues with things around my wrists. It's just not me at all. I can't fathom wearing something like a fitbit all day. It would drive me stark raving nuts. 4:30 AM... maybe another coffee will help.

My goodness, Northern Musician don't you ever sleep? When it gets to be about 8:30 give your father a call and tell him Happy Father's Day.

They have other models of FitBit that do not go on wrist. But I knew I would lose it. You can attach the other models to various things, the shoes, leave in your pocket, etc. Your activity is so very high, seems to me, you are doing a great job without it. It helped me get off my butt! Love it.

HCB- I take quite a few supplements too. Schools of thought say these are worthless too. But not to me. I need calcium & magnesium for sure. I have a muscle-skeletal disorder and they need the help. So many choices! That is a positive, we can all find something that fits us. One thing we all have in common, effort to make it work. Like Panigale, I like the physiological aspect of tracking. The FitBit does the math and strangely enough, that helps me. Part of it for me, is to keep me engaged with the process. I know if I fade interest, the diet will fade with it. So, let's all be downright compulsive with it! Did you ever notice, when you read a diet book, you start it during the book, and you stay with it, convinced you finally have the answer? Then you fade out. Anything to keep me engaged in the process is key to me.
